While speaking for DS she was raising her voice against a custom.

She had to keep quiet in Mannu and Ganga's case because it was Sumi's shouting that was wrong and it is not in her place to check Sumi's behaviour. It was the job of DS.

If somebody just pointed out that Mannu's act will bring in misfortune then she would have stepped in.

Can't she work while she is preggy... pregnancy does not mean baby will pop out in 9 days... it will take a good 1 year in BV timeline.
