But Shiv who has 'known ' Sachi for his whole life had no clue about his sister's feelings and thinks she is quite ok for the Singh family if she wishes it . She is oh so not suitable . Not for that family or even a modern family . Its her ruthless and aggressive nature . She speaks thoughtlessly , hurts the feelings of others goes after what she wants ruthlessly .
Jagya's family had no clue of what their ladesar wanted out of life . His medicene ambitions , his wanting an educated girl as a wife ...his capability to turn against his own kin if they came in his way and demand his share in property ...they did not know a thing and were quite flabbbergasted .
Does being with one for life make the person the best judge of the other person or is a family member often blinded by less objectivity like Ira or Shiv who considers Sachi as his litle sister . Does he see her like the vixen she is .
And how many years should a person be with another person to become fit to pronounce an opinion ...10 yrs , 5 yrs , 1 year what . Is there a definete period . Coz these people spend their whole life with these persons yet they don't know them .
As i see it , Ganga is not over confident that she 'knows' Jagdish . She merely gave an opinion based on his daily habits and routine . She has been in proximity of him for quite some time . And she gave her thoughts , when prodded , based on her observations . Sumitra knows Jagdish for all her life , she thinks Sachi is lovely for him . Is that true ?
Also , for Ganga , Jagdish's past doesn't matter . He may have a torrid past but she doesn't have anything to do with that , all she sees is that he ended her nightmare . Why should she 'know' his history . All she knows is the daily routine , habits of her benefactor...she is seeing him in his retributory phase and nowhere does this particular girl Sachi fit in .
