I don't think Ashima loved him.She just thought she loved him just like Sanchi thinks she loves Jagya.Only difference is that Ashima is a good human being as oppossed to Sanchi.
Ashima was only attracted to him and all the possibilities he represented.He is educated and he is from the same social circle she belongs to and he could stay back in London and make a life with her.That was her dream she had for herself.She never had it in her t make that dream a reality.She either did not love him enough or she is not capable.
There was no love from Anandi's side even the attraction she felt for him she denied it.But she made every effort understand him his dreams his goals and tried her best to help him realise them right from the time without even knowing that she is doing that.May be that was the reason he fell for her.
