It even happened in Rakt Sambandh. It was an awesome show and had excellent ratings around the time of Yuvraj's (Sandhya's 1st husband) death sequence. The logical thing would have been to tie up loose ends and wrap up the story with a happy ending with Sandhya & Neeraj's wedding.

But no, because of high TRPs the PH decided to introduce a new story altogether where Neeraj, who was so far shown as an orphan, suddenly finds himself a family and an Ekta style Saas-Bahu saga was born. That spelt the end for RS and within months the show was ended by the channel itself.

I agree. Or they could do what's done in the US - have serials run for a season - say 6 months, and for the next 6 months, either show reruns, or another serials. After those 6 months, bring back the next season of the first serial, and continue. Each season would have an appropriate finale, and next season would be a new chapter in their story.

On Rakt Sambandh, this is exactly what I thought. There was no reason to introduce a new family for Neeraj, who was previously an orphan w/ no known family. Neither did Yuvraj's jailbreak make sense. What they could have done could have been to show Shradhya walking out of her sasural after hearing Sandhya's story & getting inspired by it, and then all the sisters, hubbies & kids helping in the search for Neeraj, finding him and helping him get his memory back by normal medical means, rather than a filmy fight b/w Yuvraj & Sandhya. Then bring him home, help him find a job (say @ Aditya's company) and follow it w/ Neeraj's & Sandhya's marriage. If needed, show a week or 2 of the honeymoon, and then wrap things up. That would have made RS perfect.

In RS, her character took a nosedive when she tried to force Neeraj to marry Anjali, and tried kissing up to her female in-laws, particularly Neeraj's bua, but it at least was redeemed when she started confronting and sabotaging Anjali's plots. In Jyoti too, her character was fine, but she had a major flaw - she was always happier in her original home, where she was previously tormented, than in her sasural, where she had the solid support of her husband.

Sounds like Jagya should have a harem - Anandi, Gauri, Ganga, now Sanchi...

Of all the shows she's done, Sriti only left Jyoti, from what I remember. And there too, she was getting so little exposure, since Sphere Origins wanted to water down her romance w/ Uday, which had actually stolen the interest in Jyoti herself. Rakt Sambandh ended w/ her still in it, and in DssdSB, she left when Raghav died in the show. Even then, she played a role for a few days in the form of her body.

If by now Ganga hasn't married Jagya, what's she still doing in the show? Maybe they could kill her off, and Sriti could try her hand in some other genre - maybe a mytho serial, or a Bong movie. I'm sure she'd be a great hit there.

I agree about BV as well - it's become really long in the tooth. Just wind down the show, showing Anandi get pregnant w/ Shivraj's kid in the finale show, or giving birth.

I want to see sriti doing a love story show. She is such an awesome actress. A actress with looks plus acting, she should do a very intense and making sense type love story show where she could get recognize. Where people could actually see how good she is, she is very underrated. Se deserve to come in such show which can bring out her talent infront of everyone.

I agree with vrish even mytho show would be good. Something like mahadev,

Or would love to see sriti in a show like Sasural gande phool. Playing a spoil brat would give completely new layer to her career.

Or even seeing her in a bold character would be good. Someone who knows how to fight for social injustice or women injustice,

So today I come to the BV forum and see the popular cast and what do I find...everybody has a bright green arrow marked up next to their names, all except one name with a lone red arrow down - I don't have to say who .

Aaargghh all because she wasn't tagged in the article where she was also mentioned 😡! Very Unfair.
