My point is this

Does it really matter now ? So her grand saas mischievously lied like a naughty imp and fobbed the proposal wallahs off as she wanted her own girl to get in ...and the girl did not really know about it and was uncomfortable about it and confessed all to the guy she was marrying . Doesn't matter end there ? At this point do these things really even matter ? Instead of blessing the son and bahu for a sukhi sansaar why dwell on old issues which will yield nothing ? My son's right to choice was taken away , this is deceit , this and that ...son is happy , the bahu is behaving well in the house , whats the problem now ? Why spoil the present by making futile past issues ?

Another thing . Constantly it was rubbed in Anandi's face that she was a balika vadhu , a divorcee , Shiv was NOT and would have got many proposals ...it looks like the underlying unspoken feeling is that Shiv did an OBLIGATION on her by marrying her , sort of uplifted her ? Anandi had not clutched at remarraige as an olive branch for getting on in life . She had never considered it , didn't even want it . She had considered education and independence as an olive branch for upliftment .

Shiv and Anandi married each other coz they liked each other , not for any other reason .

What Shiv told the proposal lady was perfect .
