Hey guys!
So I've had these questions on my mind for a long time now, and have finally decide to ask!
I'm not Indian, nor have I bothered to look up a map of India (not because I'm ignorant but because I'm terrible at geography and looking at maps only complicates things further for me šŸ˜†) I want to know what and where exactly are Jaitsar, Jaipur and Udaipur. I know Jaipur is located in Rajasthan (is Rajasthan a province, city, or a general area?), but is Jaipur a city or a village? I'm asking about Jaipur cuz Shiv tends to have several meetings there šŸ˜•
Similarly, what is Udaipur? A city or a general area or a village? According to the show, Jaitsar used to be a village, and is now a district (what is the difference between the two?)...which brings about another questions, is Jaitsar a real location in India or a fictional location created by the makers of BV?
And lastly, where are these four places (Rajasthan, Udaipur, Jaipur, and Jaitsar) located in reference to each other?
I don't mean to get all practical about something so minimal...but I've just been curious for a really long time now, because everytime these places are referred to in the show, I'm never able to figure them out in my head... šŸ˜•
Thanks to anyone who's able to shed some light on this matter!
Cheers 😊

Rajasthan is a state/province in India. Jaipur is the largest city and capital of Rajasthan.
Udaipur also is a city in Rajasthan. If you lookup on Google maps, there is a place called Jeitsar in Rajasthan. But, I don't think this place has anything to do with the serial. It is a fictional village.

I love how you understood the underlying reason for my curiosity Tongue šŸ˜† Apart from generally wondering about where all these places are located in India, I was also curious about how the Shekhars seem to travel from one end of Rajasthan to another in a matter of 10 minutes! Thank you for consulting Google mata, something I was afraid to do myself!

Thank you so much! 😊 I had tried wikipedia earlier, but I wasn't too sure if I was getting the right info šŸ˜• Okay, so makes sense why Jaipur is the heart of all official meetings!
So if Udaipur is a city, that means it must be well developed and must have proper educational institutes (as compared to Jaitsar), tou phir, does Sanchi live in Udaipur too? I thought she lived in a hostel in Mumbai or something (as in, FAR AWAY from her family šŸ˜›)... what's the need to stay in a hostel if her college is in the same city as her home.. or is that the norm? šŸ˜•

@TM - Thanks for raising very valid points.

They seem to have taken a bit too much of creative licence when it comes to time taken to reach Udaipur to Jaitser and Jaitser to Jaipur.

Otherwise they have done pretty ok with depicting Udaipur as big place and sending the CS to Jaipur for official meetings and so on and so forth.

Udaipur is a fairly big city. Sanchi lives in a hostel in a different city. Maybe she didn't get admissions to the colleges in Udaipur šŸ˜†.. So, she had to go to a different city. But, I think it is close to Udaipur/Jeitsar because she does reach Jeitsar within few hours time on Bhai Dooj
