Today BV clarified that shiv is not a jaru ka gulam not even singh's. When DS asked him whether he can stop the transfer, shiv's answer was so straight forward, softly but firmly he communicated that he is a man of principle. He will not deviate from that on any cost.
Shiv is the real man, yes he is soft for his wife feelings, that is his unconditional love. This makes us angry and frustrated. But when it comes to his work, he does not compromise even if the request comes from DS, her wifes favourite.

Jo Shiv kowimpy kehtehain unke liye ek phrase hai " Hathi chale bazaar kutta bhooke hazar" That doesn't meanThat I called Shiv a Hathi and critics kutta. That's mean logonko bakwaas se strong person ko koi ferk nahee parta hai.😊

The most strongest part of Shiv's character is his principle and his commitment...every character of this serial have failed to fulfill his/her commitment at least for once or to a particular person(including anandi too) ...but shiv is the only character who never failed to fulfill his commitment to anybody...yes some ppl will say that he have failed once and that was for ganga...but that was not a case of failing the commitment...in this case,he was trying hard...but anandi have done on behalf of him...when his commitment comes for which is related to his profession or his work , he never hear for anyone...not even anandi ...or his own family...thanks to Bv makers for giving us such a strong character...becoz the purity of a character can be judged only by measuring his commitment towards others...

@nandita, i think u r too r8. Shiv does not bother about his wife and singh when it is for work. I feel he can even tell Aji if she wants she can stay back, but he will never refuse his official duties.

I didn't call Shiv a wimp. I was talking about his hesitation and confused look. This is the same man who'd understood Jagya's wrong intentions in first place. He's always been shown to be quick-witted, smart and decisive. I was irritated seeing him quiet, confused, constantly worried since last few days.

He could have communicated about his transfer the same polite, firm and carefully-chosen words as he did when DS mooted possibility of refusing the transfer orders. But he's shown all confused and scared and even feeling guilty! Had he said things himself, the tiff between him and Anandi wouldn't have occured, and Saanchi wouldn't have to create drama at Singhs' house again.

I am seeing Shiv more self conscious, confused and worried since last few days than sensitive and empathic. I can't see a perpetual constipated look on his face!

Otherwise I appreciate Shiv as an ideal man who understands his wife.

I did not mean you, even at times i get frustrated with his goodness and concern for singh and anandi. Basically he cannot hurt any one, his mother and even his sister. It is possible because he is a fiction character. But i like the way he clarified DS yesterday.

@TM,I agree with you but,I must say, I miss the Shiv we were introduced to. What some members called as "kadak"collector.

The crispness in his character has been done away with. The original Shiv is much longed for.

Yup i feel the same...i like shiv's love and understanding nature but they are showing so much of this side of his that the crispness is losing...he is indeed losing his firm and practical side which was one the most noticeable difference b/w him and anandi...now he is indeed looking like female anandi
