NYA - every industry has norms and expectations... 16 hr days are not uncommon in my profession. Its what is expected of you if you work in a top tier law firm. That said many opt not to work for top tier firms for that reason...

Similarly, being a TV lead is not easy, so I do see this as a mutual decision, which is to the determinent of the viewers.

Also, if the issue is 16 hr days then the Channel is not blameless... because they are the ones that opted for that format.

No dear its not but , most of the daily soap actors do. And most shows lasts only for 3 years maximum. Balika Vadhu is an exceptional show and it lasted for longer so Pratz could nto handle it.

Yeh rishta has also been running for 4 years and Hina khan is needed for every shot. At one point the show ran for 7 days a week but when it did not effect hte TRP they dropped the idea.

Then we have, Kiyunki Kabhi saas bhi kabhi bahu thi and other Ekta shows which ran for a LONg time. LIke Kumkum I think it ran for 6 years +. THe main lead also did TV soap hours (long ones)

Some can handle it some cnanot

Its not pratz fault > She got tired and its ok.

I am just not ok with people bashing Balika Vadhu for that. Why wish for the show's downfall thats whY I am disappointed.

so its proved tht pratz didnt leave on her own she was sacked due to PH whims n its def not a mutual decision.
Good tht truth is coming out...karma always gets back at u..PH will suffer...bv is anyways doomed...T cant carry bv...SP n sony has better shows in 8pm timeslot...BV is doomed...I hope sensible ppl jump off this sinking ship in time.

What about doctors. They have the most hectic hours and schedules. THey are known to work for 30 hours straight sometimes.

Not everyone can become a doctor.

PRatz did her best and thats enough right. I have no complaints with pratz . She as long as she was there gave an exceptional performance.

Toral on the other hand just joined. I am willing to give her more time to blend and she did well last week. She has to yet work on her emotional scenes. So I am willing to give her time in that.

Anji... I agree every profession has it own needs!!!
But spilt shifts are too much to digest... That means you can't go home or can't have some time for yourself!!! 16 hrs continously and you don't know untill when its going through...
When everybody can get holidays why can't she??? When she asked for some days off you threat her we will fire you and fired her straight away...
And this news is from channel coordinator... And if it was a mutual decision Prats wasn't cried out loud at the sets last day when Toral was shooting for the introduction and montage...
PH lady told me earlier Prats has to work in this industry she can't fight with them to remain in same river...

Also its unfair to say Pratz got no time of during this period... I recall instances where PH adjusted because she was sick or off to the point some viewers were complaing about constant use of BDs and wondering if SidYusha were fighting.

Am not blaming Pratz... I am just accepting her choice not to continue for her own reasons including work-life balance, which to me is a valid reason..

exactly.

I am saying the same thing. Why wish for the doom of BV just cause pratz wanted something else. I know she could not handle the hours. So thats that na.. she could not.

Others are able to so they got the chance.

Why curse BV for it? So many people are working in this show what about their livelihood/?
