Shiv's quarters
The episode begins with Shiv (S) and Anandi (A) in their bedroom at night. S is praising the Singhs about their decision to build the high tech hospital and also for expresses the need of a good doctor like Jagya (J). He says that is also good for J since he can now take the responsibility of the hospital. A is in her thoughts. Seeing this S asks her what she was thinking. A replies that what happened was not right. She is concerned that the Sankrant celebrations at Kesar Bagh has got dampened due to the change in plans. She is also feeling bad that due to this even Meenu and Sachi will be deprived of celebrating it with the rest of the family at Kesar Bagh. S smiles and replies that it becomes important to remind people to think but in her case its the opposite, she needs to be told not to think so much. He continues to say that anyway Meenu and Sachi will be celebrating it in the badi haveli so what's the harm. A tells him that Ira has made many plans since its the first Sankrant after their wedding and all of them have become useless now. She says that althoguh Ira doesn't say anything, she might have definitely felt bad that her son and daughter-in-law will not be there with her on the day of the festival. S replies that Ira will understand the situation, but he has a bigger tension. A asks him what it was. He replies that he is worried about the kite flying challenge since he has not done it for a very long time due to academic commitments. A teases S for this. S then asks her what she will give him if he wins. A replies that she will give him whatever he wants. To this S makes a deal with A that if he wins A will have to do what he tells her to or vice-verse. S then tells A not to think too much. A then tells S that there is a way in which they can make both the families happy and smiles happily. The scene is cut there.
Badi Haveli
Next day morning, every one is preparing for the Sankrant celebrations by decorating the whole house. Seeing this Nandu is excited and starts playing a toy drum. Basant asks him to stop it. Hearing this DS tells every one not to stop Nandu from doing anything today. Seeing this J remembers the episode of his childhood when Bhairav was questioning him about a playstation that he got from some one and also remembers how DS came to his rescue. Remembering this he smiles to himself.
Outdoors
S, A, Sachi and Meenu are on their way to the badi haveli in the car. Meenu calls Ira and asks her how things are going on at Kesar Bagh. Ira replies that its just like any other normal day since everyone is sad that the whole family is not together. Ira then asks Meenu if they were traveling. Meenu tells her that A was getting very impatient to go to the badi haveli and hence they left early. Ira tells Meenu to enjoy. She then expresses how sad she is about S-A not being there on their first Sankrant after marriage. Meenu tells every one that Ira sounds very sad. Sachi takes the phone from Meenu and tells Ira to take a stroll in the garden to freshen herself up and gives the phone to Meenu. Ira then comes out into the garden and says that she cannot be there the whole time since like daddu the plants cannot make her happy. Meenu then asks Ira if seeing S-A will make her happy? S-A, Meenu and Sachi arrive at Keasr Bagh seeing this Ira is very happy. She greets everyone and then calls out to Alok, daddu and Sachi. The rest of them are pleasantly surprised and express how happy they are. They ask Meenu how the plans changed. Meenu then tells them that it was A's plan to come to Kesar Bagh in the morning and then celebrate Sankrant in the evening at Jaitser. Ira then tells A that she understands what is in Ira's heart. Ira tells her that she was longing to celebrate it with all of them. A replies that she also wanted to celebrate it with them and that she would not be happy celebrating it in Jaitser knowing that the family is unhappy here. The family then share a light moment.
Badi Haveli
Dadi Sa (DS) gives J new clothes. J asks her when she bought it. Sumitra then tells J that DS used to buy new clothes for him at every festival although J was not around. DS is surprised and asks Sumitra how she knew about it? Sumitra tells her that she is also a mother and can understand DS's emotions. (I am sorry I missed some of the dialogues there but this is what I grasped). DS then tells J that he needs to take care of his health and instructs Sumitra to feed him well. Seeing this J gets emotional and asks her how she still loved him so much when he went astray? DS replies that when a tree is lush green it doesn't need any water but when it is uprooted and starts to dry, it need all the more nourishment and care.
Kesar Bagh
The family starts with the celebrations by donating clothes and food to the poor. A then asks Ira if she can inform DS that they will be late reaching the haveli. Ira agrees and A informs Ds that they are in Udaipur and will reach the haveli in the evening. Ds tells A that they did the right thing to go to Udaipur since in that way the whole family can celebrate together. As an after thought Ds says that since its he first Sankrant after wedding she should celebrate it with them and that she need not come to Jaitser if the family objects. Ira then talks to DS and they wish each other. Ira praises A's values and smartness. Hearing this Ds is very happy. DS says sorry for inviting S-A to the haveli without Ira's permission but Ira tells her that being an elder DS has the right to make decisions. DS invites them too to the haveli but Ira refuses saying that they have loads of work to be done in Kesar Bagh.
The family get back to the rituals.
Badi Haveli
Nandu is complaining about A going to Udaipur before coming to the haveli. Sumi tells him that Kesar Bagh is also A's house and hence she needs to take care of them too. The family then share a light moment.
