I just love my agankhi ...agantuk (mohit raina) and pakhi (leena jumani) from Ganga kii dheej which aired on Sahara one for 6 months between nov 2010 - June 2011. Set up in a village called Kaliganj.. It was a show abt evil practice called Ganga kii dheej ., a test that every unmarried girl has to pass to prove her purity. If failed she was sent to a place called narak ka dwar. The naive n ignorant villagers believed all this. Actually it was all staged abt Kaliganj landlord dada bhai played by Kabir bedi ... Who would use the girls to satisfy himself and later what happened to the girls remained a mystery due to shows shut down before completing the story.
Abt agantuk.., he was dada bhai's son. Dashing , dynamic , studied abroad , never believed in the rules formed by society ... In short a hero! When I watched shiv in those initial epis , he reminded me of agantuk in too many ways
Pakhi .. Village girl engaged and to marry a guy who likes her falls in the trap of the purity test.. Fails an just when she is to be taken to narak ka dwar .. Agantuk marries her ...
N then their journey begins from strangers to loving couple...
It was a great show.. Too sad that it was on Sahara one n couldn't receive the appreciation it deserved.
Mohit Raina is sheer brilliance. He is my most favorite Telly actor .., his expressions were bang on in each n every scene he delivered. Am happy that he finally got recognition he deserves through mahadev show

AnSh and agankhi do have many similarities ... Some of the scenes of ansh really reminded of agankhi.

Btw , the link that I had sent you wasn't a vm ... It was an original composition made for that beautiful moment between agankhi by GKD team. Their very own song!
