My interpretation of Anandi's bhashan:
I don't subscribe to your ideas about modernity. My ideas are different and if you don't like them that's too bad.
I am not going change for you or for anybody .I am what I am.If that is a problem for you it's too bad.
Even I don't think I am all that great. But your brother for some reason thinks the world of me.
But as you know beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Your family doesn't seem to have a problem with me.Either it is their greatness or dumbness. Please take a pick.
Beyond this I cannot explain to you or make you understand.
Call me when you get over your stupidity.I'll be waiting.

To the family - Don't spoil your mood it is really not worth it.She will see sense soon.

My thoughts exactly...this is what even I had understood from her dialogues yesterday...Though she didnt rant about it...just like saanchi had criticized her while giving an impression of praising her...Anandi replied in the same manner but in a controlled and lower voice...If saanchi was intelligent enuf...she would have understood that she has been rebuffed very politely...

It is upto us to decide what we think is right.

The story tellers have two ways of looking at it.It is upto you to decide Sanchi's way is better or Anandi's way is better. Both are equally outspoken.

For once i felt Anandi's interfering speech was necessary. Because if the Shekar's go on chiding Sanchi without actually explaining her how she should be, Sanchi's behavior will get worse. This will go in circles where the shekar's scold her as she talks rudely...and she gets more rude with Anandi because her parents scold her for Anandi's sake...To stop this, i think Anandi's speech was important this time.

actually i felt anandi did what we called is " romal mei joota lapit k marna" or" meethi churi" she snubbed sanchi all the time while sounding sweet and mature!
  1. she said even i feel am not what a girl like you would have wanted for her bhabi but ur bor likes me and that is enough
  2. beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder- ur famiyl is good they see me as good- if u dnt see me good that means urrm 😉😉😉
  3. u cant win respect love u have to earn it, anadi knws this she cant ask sanchis love respect by stating she is her babhi beher freidn all reationships take time to devlop- biggest eg dadisa and anandi!! 😆
so for me the whole diualiuges were so anandi she keeps givng ppl chances she never judges them forum she is paitent and she is keeping her promise to her collector sahb who hasd asked her to be paitent with ananid and not to take nay thing to heart what she says and that she will have to win her over, so she is donig all this for him only!

what i dnt like the whole familys tolerance of sanchis badtameezi

Some great posts in here from Appy, Yashpal, Stuti and others.

I'm a little uncertain about this scene, to be honest. On the one hand, I feel it's likely that Anandi was just being really, really, really nice and tolerant to Saanchi because she recognised that letting the family tell her off and demand that she apologise to Anandi would only make things worse and increase Saanchi's feelings of resentment. Which I appreciated, because in most serials, if a nanad was rude to her bhabhi or bhabhi-to-be, the family would be like, "How dare you be so rude - apologise immediately!", and the nanad would apologise while shooting killer death stares at her bhabhi, and then proceed to flounce up to her room to simmer in hate and indignation and mutter to herself about how it was all the heroine's fault that she had been humiliated in front of her family. Then there would be revenge plots, etc etc. xD So when Daddu demanded yesterday that Saanchi apologise to Anandi, I was like, "Shoot! This is going to make things worse!", and all the above predictions flashed in front of my eyes. So I was relieved and pleased when Anandi prevented the inevitable by waving off Daddu's demand for an apology and addressing Saanchi's grievances head-on in her usual patient way. To me, this was another one of the many scenes that have proven over time that BV is far from a run-of-the-mill serial!

On the other hand, I'm unsure about whether Anandi genuinely MEANT what she was saying or if her words masked the stuff Appy summarised in her post. If she did genuinely mean it all, I didn't like the bits of the dialogue where she apologised to Saanchi for not fitting her "ideal bhabhi" image and said that she doesn't think herself worthy of Shiv... the open self-deprecation in her words made me a little uncomfortable (and I'm guessing Shiv too, as he looked particularly unhappy when she said that she doesn't think herself worthy of him - I'm sure he's going to address that in a future scene). But other than that I was fine with the content of the dialogue, and I definitely didn't have issues with its length... I felt it was simple and yet eloquent and powerful, and all of it needed to be said (plus no-one else in the room had anything useful or helpful to say anyway!).

@bold
That is A's way of telling that she understands Sanchi's POV and where she is coming from.
But the fact that she is quite fine with what she is-tells you that she is quite confident about herself and her abilities.

Superb summation of A's dialogue by Aparnauma. This speech of A was very much needed. She put Sanchi in her place with so much poise and aplomb. Showing anger at Sanchi or leaving the room will put her at the level of Sanchi. When great people are insulted by low mortals, they don't react by showing anger or irritation. Anandi is a great cool woman and a leader. She is way above the ordinary.
Basically she told Sanchi that she is going to be what she is and if Sanchi has a problem with it, just too bad.

This applies to both, Anandi and saanchi. It looks like both the ladies are not prepared to change themselves. But that does not matter as long as shiv is prepared to change himself for the sake of anandi. If he does not, then she will be in trouble again.
