Part 10 Mehndi in Small Updates

Shiv came and sat with everyone. In the haveli Anandi too joined her family. Shiv wanted to choose the mehndi design for Anandi. He started to flip a mehndi design book. Ashi said," Hey desi boy tumhe kya samajh mein aayega about mehndi. Let Anandi chose her own design. You chose your design." "D Design? No main sirf Anandiji ka naam likhwaoonga. That's it. Main office mein mehndi waale haah lekar nahi ja sakta. Even Anandiji said to put less mehndi. I want something minimal and sober. That is only Anandiji's name."

He chose two beautiful and intricate designs for Anandi for the front and back of her hands. The design was beautiful and would reach her elbows. Mehndi was chosen for her feet too. Everyone appreciated his choice. He was sure that Anandi would choose the same designs as their choices were same. It was Anandi and Shiv's mehndi. Everyone at the C H get dressed to go to the haveli. Shiv came out of his room. He sat with the men. "Ye auratein itna time lagati hain tayyar hone mein." Mahi cribbed and complained. Ira and Meenu were looking stunning. "Wow Ira tum toh apni bahu ko complex dogi. Kitni sundar lag rahi ho. Mujhe humaari mehndi ka din yaad aa gaya. Us din bhi to tumne green rand ka hi ghaghra choli pehna than na?" As Alok complmented Ira Meenu nudged her," Kya baat hai didi bhaiyya ko toh aaj bhi sab detail mein yaad hai." Ira blushed like a new bride," Aap bhi na kahin bhi shuru ho jaate hain. Papaji hain aur bacche bhi ab bade ho gaye hain. Apni umar ka toh lihaaz kijiye." She scolded Alok in a mock anger voice.

"Papa aap ne ma ki mehndi ki rasam kaise dekhi? Mujhe toh laga tha ki dulha nahi jata dulhan ke ghar rasamon ke liye." Saanchi asked. Alok cleared his throat," Arre main nahi gaya tha wo toh ma ne mujhe bataya tha. Haan mein nahi gaya tha bilkul nahi gaya tha." "Accha papa toh nani ne kya aapke bhoot ke kaan kheenche the? Aura 1oo uthak baithak karwaye the?Bhai humne to humaare pyaare daddu se yahi kahani suni hai." Shiv said confidently. Mahi was not paying attention to what wah happening around him. He was lost in Ashi's beauty. She had worn a beautiful fish cut saree with a long sleeve blouse. She was looking stunning in her Indian avatar. Everybody complimented her and said she would be a very beautiful Indian bride. She looked at Mahi when no one was looking. A tear trickled down her cheek. She wiped it off as Mahi's eye returned on her from his ma and badi ma. He did not get her behavior. She was acting weird around him with every passing moment.

Shiv got up and began checking every thing. "C S apne jille ki progress ki tayyaari par double check karna humaari tayyari par nahi. Sab kuch theek se liya hai teri Anandiji ke liye." C M shook her head as she remembered the day Anandi was coming for lunch for the first time and he had checked the preparations. They made fun of him but he was in a serious mood. "Nahi choti ma wo main chahta hoon ki Anandi ji ke liye sab kuch properly ho koi kami na reh jaaye. Jab wo choti thi tab apni gudiya ki shaadi karwayi thi unhone tabhi se apne liye kuch sapne sanjoye the jo kabhi poore nahi hue. Ab main har wo sapne poora karna chahta hoon. Unhone mera saath apnakar mere jeevan ka sabse bada sapna poora kiya hai ab main unki har choti badi kwaahish ko poora karne mein jutna chahta hoon."

All his elders see how deep his love is for Anandi and they also know that she deserves every bit of happiness that comes her way. They bless him and promise him that they will do everything in their power to make Anandi happy and assist him in his goal. Mahi has tears in his eyes. "Bhaiyya aap kitne lucky hain na ki aapke jeevan mein aapko apne sacche pyaar ka saath mil raha hai. Kya sabko apna pyaar milta hai? Kaisa lagta hai jab humaara pyaar sweekar kiya jaata hai?" His family leaves to go to the haveli for the mehndi rasam. They instruct Shiv to eat something. After the initial shagun rasam they will come back with Sumitra and ladies to put shagun ki mehndi to him. He held back Mahi and told him to take video recordings properly. He also told them not to tease Anandi too much. She still considered him as her best friend. The Shekhar's finally leave after hearing all of Shiv's instructions.

Part 10 b)

In the haveli the preparations were done for the swagat of the samdhi's for the mehndi ceremony. Anandi was in her room. Sugna and Asha were helping her get ready. She had worn a beautiful green and golden ghaghra choli. She took her pallu in a different style. She was looking so beautiful today the haldi had done justice to her fair complexion. She looked like a bride today God only knows how beautiful will she look on her D Day. She asked Sugna to click her pic. Sugna did so and told her to wait in her room. They would come and get her later.

In the room Anandi was glad that they left her alone. These days she liked being by herself free to think of and to talk to her C S her BEST FRIEND. She called him. He told her that he had selected her mehndi design and hope she likes it. She tells him that she is sending him something and hopes he likes it too. She sent her pic to him and waited for him to call. In the C H Shiv was mesmerized by her beauty. He lost track of time and did not call her back. She called him and asked if anything was wrong.

"Anandiji aap kala teeka laga lijiye kahin aapko meri hi nazar na lag jaaye."

"Nahi mujhe aap ki nazar nahi lag sakti."

"Kyun"

"Hum jinki nazron mein baste ho humen unki nazar nahi lag sakti." She blushed and disconnected the call.

Shiv was still processing what she just said to him. She had started being a little free and expressive towards him lately But yet only as a best friend. He was more than happy with what he was getting. It was a ray of hope that one fine day she will accept him completely. He calls her back as they had some time before she was called down. Anandi saw his name falsh on her cell screen.

"Hai kitni baaten karne lage hain. Pehle toh aise rehate the jaise mooh mien moong bahre ho. Kuch bolte hi nahi the."

"Ji Anandiji mujhe kuch inquiry karni thi."

"Inquiry?"

"Ji"

"Ji Kya?"

"Ji who main poochna chahta tha ki aap apni mehndi mein mera naam likhwaayengi?"

"Ji haan who toh rasam hoti hai toh likhwana hi padega." She smiled.

"Ji nahi aap ko kuch bhi zabardasti karne ki zarrorat nahi hai. Agar aap nahi likhwana chahti toh mat likhwayiye."

"Ji theek hai nahi likhwaoongi."

Shiv gets a bit sad but he doesn't let her know.

"C S aap kahan kho gaye? Aapne kaha than a ki aap mujhe saari khushiyaan dena chahte hain? Toh phir aap udaas kyun ho? Aapki udaasi mujhe kabhi khushi nahi de sakti. Chaliye muskuraiye. "

"Aapko kaise pata ki main udaas hoon?"

"Aap bhi na. Mana ki aap mere best friend hain par hum kadkiyon mein na ek prakaar ka radar fix hota hai. Humein pata chal jaata hai jab hummara koi apna humse apna dukh chupata hai. "Anandi chal neeche tujhe bulaya hai. He bhagwaan tum dono kya baaten karte ho? Tu baaten karti hogi aur bechara Shiv suntan hoga. Toofan mail ki tarah uske saamne bhi shuru ho jaati hogi." Sugna sweetly scolded her and Anandi pouted. "Haan kyun nahi main hi bolti hoon unke munh par to tape chipki hoti hai. Main nahi wohi mujhe phone karte hain. Dekha aap ki wajah se jiji ne mujhe daanta." Shiv laughs and bids bye and disconnects the call. He is happy that she is becoming the old Anandi.
