In every relationship Trust and respect for each other is a basic neccessity...Love can come later too, but honesty and Trust matter most...! One can understand that in second marriages may it be divorcee's or widow's, there is always a factor of Trust which comes in between many people...And CM is right in her place, as she doesn't want Shv to get hurt...That is what many felt too, when initially many saw Anandi remembering and having FB's, that we don't want him to get hurt at the end of the day...Then Shiv's CM, though not by birth has raised him and she is correct in her concern...Though only thing I feel is, she should trust Shiv's decision and respect what elders have decided...Only thing she did not do right is to ask Anandi to re-consider...It was ok, if she would have asked if she would really keep Shiv happy...!
It is hard for some people to accept this type of relationship and there is nothing wrong in putting forward our thoughts...This makes people think from different perspective as well...! Like now Shiv won't feel threatened if Anandi and Jagya meet some point...This will only make their bond stronger, when Anandi will see how much respect and trust he has on her...! It will inturn bring her close to him...!
CM, just has to realize that Shiv is really happy with Anandi and trust his decision...I really hope Shiv tells her after meeting Anandi why she had called and what she felt, so CM's insecurities slowly start clearing...!

I have a question. Why was Shiv raised by CM and not his own mom Irawati? Was Ira a working woman? Or was she sick?

Jan, normally in joint family it is like kids are most attracted to their chachi or mausi, if they are young...That is the way it is, because they are mostly playful and full of life, due to new wedding and all and don't have much family responsibiltiy...And further, when Irawati was pregnant, may be choti ma was the one, who did all the work and then looked after the child and got attached, which is normal...Joint family can't function, if work is not divided amongst the people living...May be due to lot of work and all, CM due to love for kids(mainly Shiv, because he must have been the first kid in the family and she would have been newly married and new in the family, Shiv might have helped her settle beter in the family) She might have took over responsibilities of kids, while Irawati took responsibilty of the house...

Closed Mummy is still stuck in her own erroneous perception (yaadein yaadein yaadein) of the situation. On one hand, she wants Anandi to return to J. On the other, she wants to forbid A from meeting with J🤣🤣 I am just glad she expressed her concerns openly...but, sadly she did not hear their response as openly. Her concern for Shiv is making her unnecessarily cruel to A and it may damage her own rishtey with other family members not A...A like Shiv will rise above the fray, but sooner or later others may get irritated with her.

@Jan50 - great ques...I wondered the same myself. I think it may have had to do with Alok's army placements. Ira went with Alok, but where they were stationed may not have been ideal for a baby or young child...so, they may have left him with CM..and she attached to him as the eldest child in the family
