Can Shiv take the place of Jagya in the lives of Singhs?

We all see Shiv as a splendid relacement in Anandi's life to fill the void left by Jagya.

With Jagya leaving the Singhs for Gauri they also are left with a void in their lives.They are consoled by Anandi to great extent.They are very hurt,angry and disillusioned with Jagya and his ways.
But how will they fill this gap in their lives?

I personally feel that his presence in their life offers them a great deal of comfort. But can Shiv take Jagya's place in their life?Seeing him will it not be a reminder of what they lost?
Can a mother ever replace her son with someone in her affections?

This is how I feel.
