Announcer says "as soon as they exchanged rings, drums and trumpets started ringing in the haveli"

Clips of anandi and shiv seeking blessings of all the wedding guests.

announcer says "shiv's brother (mahi) wants to dance and is impatient to dance ... and he doesnt even want to wait until the engagement ceremony is over to begin dancing" (they show mahi in black jacket pulling dadisa to dance with her 😆😆)

announcer says "usually, a wedding is formalized with 7 vows that the bride and groom make to each other in front of the fire ... but here, the engagement ring exchange too had 7 takes 😆😆 "

they show anandi putting it on 4 times to shiv's finger, and shiv putting it on three times to anandi's finger.

Both prats and sid are laughing. 😆 They say they made mistakes 7 times -- sometimes he was supposed to put it on the left finger, but he did it on the right, she also made 3 mistakes and he made 4 about which finger or which dialogue she was supposed to say -- so 4+3 = 7 and they finally got the engagement scene correct after 7 re-takes.

Next the focus changes to anandi;s engagement dress and matching jewellery. Usually a bride wears red, but anandi has broken from tradition and has decided to wear a blue and purple richly embroidered ghagra choli with blue and purple jewellery. But more shining than her dress and jewels is her smile.

Shiv too is dressed as a

rajasthani beendh (husband). He is dressed in a red pagdi (head turban) and golden yellow sherwani (long coat of silk).

Anandi tells him "you are looking really good. You are looking like a prince. You are my prince charming." 😆

Shiv says "like a prince? and you look like a movie star zarina"... so anandi must not be liking that movie star, she makes a face and says "chee"

announcer says "dadisa has not only opened her heart, but also her entire bank vault/treasure chest -- she has gone overboard with sweets and gifts for shiv and his family."

dadisa says to all of them "this is a small gift from us"

Next bhairon sitting on the swing joking

Bhairon says (joking) "I am very happy for anandi, but now after funding this engagement, I am bankrupt" anandi and shiv laughing.

Bhairon says "we were supposed to spend only a fixed amount on the wedding and engagement, but suddenly somehow we got carried away and spent the entire amount on the engagement itself... shiv saw this and was shocked and that is why he decides the wedding should be simple ... he doesnt want all this wasteful expenditure."

Shiv says to the viewers "please give us your blessings"

Anandi says "yes, please give us your blessings and good wishes... I dont want to get married a second time... I hope this one works out"

shiv says "not second time, if this doesnt work out and you have to get married again, it will be your THIRD time darling... second time for me and third for you"

Anandi laughs and agrees.

The announcer signs off wishing them both well, and says "the viewers love you anandi and shiv".

WRITTEN SYNOPSIS:

Anandi and shiv are getting engaged. Anandi smiling atleast a little bit at the wedding guests and shiv's family.

Anandi says that she still has some memories of jagya, but now that the wedding is happening, she has decided to "accept it and move on".

In the middle of the engagement ceremony, shiv lays out a condition for everyone to hear -- all family members and villagers.

He says that "Anandi is the sarpanch, and I am the collector of Jayetsar, both of us have a common goal for village development ... and so the wedding will be an extremely simple one, with absolutely no luxuries or any show... all money for the wedding will only be spent on the social development of Jayetsar (schools, hospitals, water facilities etc.). What we (anandi and I) do will be an example to the rest of the village people to do the same hopefully, because we are in positions where we are role models for the rest of the village, so hopefully, others too will follow us in not doing wasteful expenditure for the wedding"

(My comment: This engagement is being done on a very lavish and grand scale -- I think it went against shiv's simplicity, which is why shiv must have laid down this condition).

The announcer says "But there is a problem... and that problem is Jagat... anandi's first husband... what will happen anandi? what will happen when he finds out about the new engagement and wedding?

Anandi and shiv sitting together and anandi says "It makes no difference to me, what his reaction will be, how he will feel. He is out of my life. In any case, mentally, I have accepted that I am entering into a new relationship with a new person, and I am now doing my part in the ceremonies with full attention and focus."

Shiv then says "I dont know Jagya at all, I cant say anything anymore. In any case, it is in the past, and her first marriage is a chapter that is now closed. I am not bothered about her past."

SBS : ANANDI'S ENGAGEMENT VIDEO

It starts with the announcer recounting that "dadisa brought a young girl as her daughter in law a long time ago. She never even once thought that she will have to re-marry that young girl when she grew older. "

They show suguna and gehna bringing anandi down behind a veil/curtain. (Groom is not supposed to see bride, until the priest says the time is right based on astrological considerations).

Announcer says " Dadisa's old eyes are seeing something very different from what she had originally planned for anandi. She had so many dreams about anandi in the past... but suddenly fate turned in another direction, and dadisa had to go through with fate's plan for anandi. "

Anandi says "I am happy that this is happening. I will also dance tonight with the others when there is a dance celebration"

Dadisa says " Dadisa says she is very happy. She has been planning for this a long time, and now that her plan has reached the stage of engagement she is feeling quite pleased."

Announcer says "there are very lavish celebrations in the haveli and her family have gone all-out to celebrate this event and make it very very grand"

Shiv says " After a long time, we are now going to become one. So I am very happy."

He asks anandi "How do you feel?"

Anandi says "I too feel really good. This is the engagement ring that both of us selected, and it is a beautiful ring. So far, everything is going according to the plan, so I too am really happy that it is all moving forward smoothly"

Announcer says: But there is still one problem. Anandi was married before to Jagya. And it appears that she is still having some feelings for him in the corner of her mind. She still has memories of him.

Anandi laughs and says "Okay, that is Jagya's point of view that I have feelings for him. I am determined to get married to shiv. I really dont care whether he (Jagya) comes or not to the engagement ...he can go to hell!! Nothing will stop me from getting married" 😆😆

Announcer says "well she says she doesnt have feelings, but if she does, it is time to put a stop to it now"

Anandi says "I am into shiv right now... I just hope he respects me and he loves me. I dont want anything more.

Announcer says "We think shiv will be a wonderful life partner for anandi. He has been with her in both the good times and the bad times. Now truly, it is anandi's turn to give some happiness to shiv."

Some scenes of anandi and shiv.

Then announcer says "they missed sumitra very much... but though she wasn't physically present, shiv arranged for her to see the wedding on the laptop in america. The village of Jayetsar now has modern technology"

Anandi says " this was shiv's idea"

shiv says "actually anandi is the one responsible for bringing internet technology to Jayetsar"

Announcer "This is great, and we are happy that dadisa's dream is being fulfilled, of her daughter in law going to her new home... but we hear that immediately after this, Jagya is going to show up at the engagement ceremony and bring a storm with him. He is going to create a huge scene at the engagement in front of everyone when he sees what is happening. So before he comes, we sign off, and give shiv and anandi our congratulations."
