Hi Parri, Nice topic.
Something like this was going through my mind as well after watching the episode, and I found the episode quite disappointing. Sanchi's character didn't seem to fit the story line or the family.
Like someone pointed earlier, how can there be a huge gap in behaviours of siblings from the same family. If Shiv is so cultured, grounded and down to earth like other members of his family then how can Sanchi be a spoilt brat, who was not patient enough to listen even.(Although I appreciated her dad scolding her) And really to what extent does Sanchi's approval matter? Teenagers don't really have a big say in their elder siblings marriages.
I really don't want see to another saga where Sanchi calls Anandi gawar / not fit and then A keeps getting her flash backs of taunts from J-G. I don't want to see A losing her confidence all over again and feel more disgusted about herself.
From yesterday's episode it looks like we will soon be entering into a world of household politics. Something that never existed in BV before.
I would love to see CVs closing more important issues such as
- How A gets close to Shiv and accepts this relationship whole-heartedly – some more role for Gehna/ Sumitra to make Anandi understand.
- A getting over Jagya's memories and seeing life from a different perspective
- A's progressive life due to this new family. Not some ugly kitchen politics
- Would love to see downfall of J-G, their acceptance or non-acceptance in Singh family post AnSh marriage.
- G losing against Sumitra
- Jagya – Gauri repentance / redeeming
- And may be a confrontation between AnSh and JaGa.
I still very much want to see the old cast sharing an equal or big screen presence, otherwise it does not feel like BV
