So true.. Literally he is scared of her. Even after she said she liked his gift, he said 'thank God ! aapko accha laga'..

Anjana, LOL..I like how you described him...Seriously...hes a hero in every sense of the word..YET he is a not a typical literary or celluloid hero.

I think the proposal came too soon. Shiv confessed his feelings to himself post proposal. Usually its the other way around. Guy first realizes, then agrees for marriage. Yahan, of course its was quite obvious that he was going crazy for her- but that confession out loud was still missing.

So yeah, I liked that even after Rejection & subsequent Realization- he wasn't all Devdas about it like you said. Even though he claims to Ashi that he has given up- he still makes it his lifes mission to be VERRRY much a part of Anandi life---hence that Skype Session.

And yeah- he is no Majnu who keeps day dreaming lost in the girl. They have spent quite a few moments together alone but I like that he doesn't go all dreamy eyed in front of her. Like he doesn't know whats happening. Yes- he did stare when their heads bumped/ fingers brushed- but that was NORMAL! Not like a 5 minute weird angle staring session.😆

Don't you think we are giving a wrong connotation to his mannerisms?

I mean he is not scared of her but extra cautious when it comes to her...He just doesn't wanna hurt her...because she's already so hurt...

And that look wala thingy...I faced the same situation once...

When my mum died I wasn't seeing this guy but I knew he liked me and I liked him too...so when he came to my home, he was avoiding looking at me...and when we did look at each other, we both didn't say anything...just looked at each other...same way Anandi and Shiv did...

Later I asked this guy (after some months, obviously) why he was avoiding the look...He said he didn't have the courage to look at me...plus he didn't know how to react...

Sia - I seriously think of Shiv more like a River...unstoppable on route to destination...he may bend and twist his path to suit the circumstances...even give puppy looks, but his destination is Anandi. Everything else is madyam

As for the look...his fear isn't Anandi's anger per se...he just doesn't want to hurt her. Its fear not of her but, of hurting her. That's why he's trying to honour the boundaries she has set as regards their rishta.

Oh no no Funky Junkie. I was saying that Shiv is 'scared of Anandis wrath' in jest. This is of course the appropriate explanation. Come on, the very fact that he is there & then later decides to be the 4th pallbearer leaves no doubt in our minds how much he wants to be with Anandi at this painful moment in her life.

I was only kidding that he is scared of her! He wouldn't be there to begin with if he thought that...Shiv did the exact same thing with Khajan- he doesn't really know how to share his grief just yet- he hasn't been given the liberty to go hug Anandi in front of everyone and be her pillar of strength. Being present is all the poor guy can do right now.

And oh, I am really sorry to hear about your personal experience...May she RIP.

in the montage, Jagya is still there so it is highly likely that he is going to bring in catastrophe in Anandi's and Shiv's live soon. Perhaps Anandi will herself declare her unconditional love for Shiv which will foster their relationship and seal their marriage in a honourable manner. So Jagya may play the part of a catalyst thereby bring ANSH together.

Absolutely...btw the name is Myraa...

And I do think the understanding level between Shiv and Anandi has increased manifolds...so probably she won't feel bad abt anything...

We'll now have to wait and watch how the CVs handle this...and how Shiv clears out this mess...or WILL HE???
