I don't agree with but, I get the logic behind getting kids married at an early age.
I have a silly question am hoping someone can answer though. Height differential... we live in society where wife is shorter than husband generally. Isn't this a problem when you marry off kids? i.e. Anandi could have been taller than Jugia😆 How did they factor this in... or didn't they? Apologies in advance for the shallowness of my silly query.☺️

Thats such an amazing and thought provoking question 😛..Recently a friend of mine told me there is some logic that whatever is your height at age 2 , multiply that by two and you have the height as your adult..so BV ppl use that logic 😉

I guess they did not think that deeply at all. 😆 😆 😆

they had no way of knowing if their son would grow tall 😳

or if he would take after his mother and remain small 😆

For this silly reason they would not a marriage stall 😛

Maybe they looked at the parents of the girl to see🤔

what height the girl would probably attain 😕

At the end of the day even if the girl was a little taller

as long as everything was completely fit and fine

I guess they thought of it as a good bargain 🤣 🤣

PS: A silly poem and it does not take away from how serious child marriage is. But a shallow poem for a shallow topic 😛

😆
Indian rural culture bites of these nuances with a touch of sense of humour. People develop a habit of loving even with chiding remarks and teasing remarks at the aberration noticed.

There are lot of stories passed on to younger generation by the older generation to teach tolerance to imperfections. I am city-bred. But whenever i got the chance to visit my cousins in villages and provincial towns in my native place in India, I got to hear fun-filled stories of the color blind husband and his adventures, the dwarf husband, the lanky lass etc. Somehow, the rural folks do not mind imperfections.

Now that kind of village setting and rural culture is becoming extinct for sure. Who is there to pass on the stories of the soil at night time. No joint families, no cousins, no loriyaan, no stories, no riddles of that kind from grass roots. Now we have mostly from books.

😃 Of course!! If Jagya will start working out, am sure will look nice. Sid have nice physic and shanky has none currently that's why he doesn't look tall.

I guess they rely on the parents' heights. But I've seen short guys with tall dads and tall girls with short moms...
