Nice thread Tinoo. I see your point too. In fact we say tie the knot to bring two people into marriage. The two ends were not connected and here the knot makes it connected. But Rahim's Doha also applies here. Because this knot has to be carefully nurtured so that it does not break.

no because the knot changes the characteristics of the string. It will be th weakest part of the string that will be the part that unravels first. In a relationship if you might forgive but you never forget. A broken relationship cannot be mended and be expected to be the same that wont happen it changes. Like the knot changes the string than so to doesthe hurt and pain change.

While we are on the topic of strings, ties, knots and relationships I am assuming that Anandi is scared that her ties with Singhs will break once the divorce comes through.I am right in assuming that?

I thought when Anandi was talking of breaking ties she is talking about her and Singhs.

I feel it was the first time Anandi has expressed her fears,anxiety and feelings of insecurity around this divorce

Ireally liked that conversation between Sumi and Anandi.
