I do know two women who took back their cheating husbands ... its not a choice I would personally make... but they did and I respect that.
That being said, I think there are a few things that need to be in place for the wife to take back her husband
1. a really strong relationship prior to the cheating episode where the balance of good memories and good times shared outweighs the bad.
2. an understanding that it was a one-time fling, and not a character trait wherein he will be a serial cheater again and again.
3. a man who acknowledges he made a mistake and really works to get his wife back... not someone who just half-heartedly mutters an apology for the sake of an apology and then expects his wife to accept that and never to bring it up.
4. a man who acknowledges shame at that part of his life, as opposed to just celebrating it as one more chapter...
5. the woman's own ability to be intimate with him after that ...
I dont know if anandi has had a really strong relationship to begin with and she has a couple of good memories with him (him pushing her on the flower covered swing etc.) ... but nothing that has really been of any great significance...
I dont know if anandi can truly know that it was a one-time fling ... or whether jagat, unhappy with anandi's physical appearance can once again go for a modern woman in a modern-get up
I dont think that Jagat will acknowledge any shame about his relationship with gauri, he likes her a lot, and will justify that phase of his life ... and I doubt he will make any apologies to anandi
I also dont know whether anandi will be able to be intimate with him knowing he has been with gauri... she may like the concept of having a beendh in the home for social reasons, or even having someone to serve food to, having someone whose clothes she can fold; having someone who will partner with her in a puja etc... but once the bedroom doors close, will anandi be able to handle Jagat as a beendh in the physical aspect?
Hard to say ... but I personally dont think that any good can come out of this given the past of the Jagat-anandi relationship.
