i am disgusted by this post. no offense to the poster but towards his thoughts.

i can see jagiya redeeming himself by doing his MS hell evenbeing back in the family but NEVER in anandi's life.
he just dsnt deserve anandi , as simple as that.
i am not a digger of tit for tat so much but hel im not a proponent of being a saint and offering another cheek. if i must , i will forgive my enemy but never forget hi nam
i am all for people trying to work out their marriages and not opt for divorse on impulse but if there ever was a fit enough case for one, this is it!
there is nothing left of a marriage here , merely an empty shell , why condemn a woman to it?

Its time the story come to what we Indian are all about...how we say "once we realize our mistake we should forgive"...I think Jagya has to come realize the mistakes he has made and win back Anandi! Remember the tag line of this show "kache umar ke pakke rishte"

And can we plz stop advocating divorce... which has taken over the urban India by storm!!! Again let me be clear I not advocating infidelity or any other thing but I just saying' CV's lets bring back something called forgiveness, redemption and true love...

I think Ashima is beautiful character that is western in outlook and nature so freethinking, forgiving, loving understanding and sacrificing! So why not have Shiv fall for her and make great match... meanwhile Jagya has to come back asking for forgiveness and this time and win Aanadi's love... why not? I know he is selfish...yes! he cheated, treated her bad...but he needs redemption at least given a chance'

Shiv on the other is too good! i so marry him off to Aanadi the saint! at least make Jagya even good and let her make the choice of the man she wants to be with!

Please she is an educated girl, a free thinking woman'give the girl a choice! Also lets see some grey characters Jagya trying to choose well! Why make him evil'

And the old lady man! She is crazy and loony'She is the backwardness of country 'she think she knows best! Plz all our parents are in that stage! If only they knew it all!!!!

I think Anandi has forgiven him. One needs to forgive to move on. Forgiveness doesn't mean condoning what someone's done... it just means accepting that it happened and not wasting energy bearing a grudge against the person. And Anandi has done that. She doesn't need to get back together with him to cement her forgiveness... on the contrary, doing so would seriously compromise her self-respect. Jagya can redeem himself as a person, but he absolutely cannot regain his place as Anandi's husband or in her heart.
You seem to be relying on the mentality that once a woman's been with a man once, that's it... he's the man for her for life, and a divorce shouldn't happen no matter how sour the relationship between them may become. Jagya and Anandi were thrown together as children who didn't know any better. As adults, they are obviously incompatible. I don't blame Jagya for having found someone he felt was more suitable and left Anandi, but I completely condemn his reprehensible and abusive treatment of her. And for her to go back to that would be like her saying, "Oh, everything you did to me was OK... as a traditional bharati nari, I have sahe-d it all without ever losing my eternal love for you and am completely ready to take you back". That's not what true love is. True love is a marriage of the minds and of the souls, not a mentality of, "You're the first man I've ever been with and no matter what you do to me, I will love you and stay with/wait for you". Had Anandi done to Jagya what Jagya did to her, would you still be saying that she should be forgiven? With the patriarchal thinking your post reflects, I think you'd be saying that she should be permanently branded as loose and condemned by all factions of society...
I agree that Anandi should make the choice of who she wants to be with... and I believe that if the CVs maintain the characters as they are, she will eventually choose Shiv. Jagya doesn't have to be evil for that to happen... all that's necessary is for Shiv to prove himself the better man and a more compatible partner for Anandi, and for Anandi to realise this. Ashi said it best yesterday - Anandi and Shiv are similar as people, with similar values and goals - Ashi and him are a world apart in those senses. And physical attraction cannot cover up a lack of compatibility on a deeper level. Shiv's character is tailor-made for Anandi, and he will make her realise the extent of her incompatibility with Jagya and truly move on from her failed relationship. That's what happens in real life. Everyone has the right to pick and choose who they want to spend their life with based on experience. Getting it right on the first try is highly unlikely, and sustaining an incompatible relationship is strenuous for both parties, and I applaud the CVs for focusing on such grey concepts and giving us all much fodder for thought and discussion. A JaAn reunion would completely kill all that greyness and nullify the impact of 1000+ episodes.

@ above
isnt taking the same mentality forward we have some factions of society making the rape victim marry the perpetrator justifying it as a means to right a wrong!
oh god i have nightmares contemplating how those women would find their lives !
but of course useless to explain such things to people.
i can understand women wanting to make their marriags work but to ask them to take soem b@#$%^% back when they dotn want to frankly i hate it and it would dilute the years of viewers time watching balika vadhu.

She can forgive him n live her life in peace, but not forget what evil person He was n trust him ever again. She shud just move ahead in life...
Divorce is not a bad thing, it shud b encouraged if situations get out of control as in Anandis situation.
