After seeing so many posts about gauri's way of thinking I just wanted to convey where I think lies the problem. The problem with gauri's thinking is perspective. See we cannot change the past whatever it may be but we certainly can change our perspective of it. I wish someone would just help her turn her angle about her childhood situation She needs to realize

I AM NOT A VICTIM, I AM A SURVIVOR
--albeit with all the help she had, but this one statement will help build the self-confidence, the sense of self she lacks. Hoping though it is too far long gone that Gauri's education will help see things logically and not emotionally. But CVs isko indian soap banane mein koi asar nahi chod rahe😕😕

Great point -- but you are making an assumption that "victim" has negative connotations to some people -- and it doesnt. Some see it as a compliment.
I too used to wonder what the problem with some people was when they continually referred to themselves as victims-- but that is because I am an independent person and I dont like a 'bechaara bechaara' attitude either in myself or in others -- so i saw it more as an insult when someone called me a victim of something. -- and therefore this is the assumption that your paradigm has of not being a victim but a survivor.
However, there are people who see the victim tag as a compliment - and love to wallow in self pity and others pity because they bond with people through their problems. So, if this is the case, its hard for people to give up a victim tag -- it gives them comfort.
