I just want to understand one thing which has been bothering me for long. This is a show therefore we comment on DS and feel that she has done injustice to everyone in family and we want that family members stand up to her and speak up. But in real life, rarely will a mother encourage the daughter to stand up for her rights against her father, her in-laws or elders. Are parents always right just because they are our parents? Should the child always have to give in because they are in this world because of their parents? Should parents not have any duty to understand a child but the child is always expected to understand the parents? Is it okay for parents to hurt a child? When a child unintentionally hurts the parents, the society has the right to badmouths the child? Why are actions taken by parents always justified and actions taken by child always viewed wrong?
