I say this and I say this again and again. The CVs have done a brilliant job of depicting a person with low self-esteem. They must have consulted a clinical psychologist
to design his character.
One of the hallmarks of a person with low self-esteem is comparison. He/she will compare himself/herself with others ... and will also compare other human beings by pitting them against each other.
A person with self-respect NEVER compares himself with anyone else ... and also never compares two others against each other (e.g. anandi vs. gauri.
He/she takes pride in his/her self-identity and appreciates each person for their own individuality.

Yeah, and one of the things I loved anandi is her self-respect.
When she told everyone that she doesnt want to be a doctor -- she not only put the point of her own interests forward -- but she also made the point that the only reason bapusa suggested medicine as a path was to make her "Jagya se bada doctor"... and she said that when Jagya is a totally non-existent entity in her life ... so the point of doing any maap-tol of who is bada doctor and who is chota doctor?
I liked her asserting that she has no comparison with jagya any more at all.
