I strongly believe that one of the reasons anandi was hanging around in the haveli is not because of haveli ijjat or her strong liking for the family -- though this may be the ostensible conscious reason she states.
In her subconscious mind, she may feel her parents have never really provided her with support. Yes they loved her, but at no point did they ever take her side when she had so many problems with dadisa. Bhago always told her that you have to now take every bitter pill because you are married and this is your sasural now. This was delivered in a very loving manner, so it did not seem like they were ditching anandi - but at the same time she never got the guidance required to get her haq - the way gauris mother gives her.
Which is why she never told Bhago all this happening at all. Ultimately, the answer is the same - so why bother. Maybe they will tell her to continue in the singh household anyhow.
Today, I think even anandi is shocked at her mother's reaction and realized that if her mother was willing to come here and challenge all these cowards - then she has the support of her parents - and that even her parents think her staying here is inappropriate.
Now anandi's backbone will return.
