I am sure the cv's have a plan to do exactly that...they will ensure that it is proved that Anandi is his legal wife...I just feel sad that the cv's think it impresses viewers to demean an initially likable character like Gauri to someone who no longer resembles that person. It seems to be the plot in most serials.
