While watching today's episode, I felt like running towards Anandi with a belan 😡 and give her a long, good piece of bhasan to let her know - what is right and what is wrong!

It was apalling to see how Anandi went to eat in J's plate after he finished off his lunch!!! 😡

I mean - WTH??!!!!! Whether Gauri eats from J's plate or not, it's completely different issue. But why is Anandi eating from his plate?!! Doesn't this woman Anandi have any shame or self respect?🥱🤢😡 On one hand, Anandi says that one cannot snatch right in a relationship, on the other hand she is shocked and depressed when Gauri was ready to eat from J's plate. If Anandi is ready to move away from J's life for his happiness, can't she at least show some respect and value to herself?

Also she says that she will wait for the real Jagya to be back even though there is least chance. Excuse me!! What does this mahan atma mean ??!! In which Utopian world is she living? Does she mean to say that J has changed after moving over to Mumbai? HUNH!!! Why can't Anandi accept the fact that J was a male chauvinist even before he moved to Mumbai. Anandi always had to bow down to his wishes and gave everything of her for his happiness. It was his chauvinism, arrogance, insensitivity that led him to do whatever he did.

Practically, if J returns to A, he will be the same person. At the most, he might curse himself for creating such problem in his own life by marrying G , but will he change to be a sensitive, mature and understanding person? Will he be able to sacrifice his own space and his own ambitions for A and his family? J has never done anything for anyone. Whom does Anandi mean by "old" Jagya?

It's another matter whether she continues loving J or not. But thinking that Jagya and Jagat are two different persons is height of stupidity.

Dadisa said to herself that gauri is too fiery, while an ideal woman's greatest virtue is patience and sacrifice. In the slogan too - the CVs supported DS saying that an experienced old person always makes the true analysis of anyone and they are correct most of the time. 😲

DS constantly say about the greatest virtue of a woman and a wife. Can I ask a question - what should be the greatest virtue of a man and a husband to make marriage successful? Can't a woman even expect honesty and fidelity from her husband? Well - we all know that DS thinks that a man has no duty or responsibility to make marriage work.

I was soo disgusted seeing the entire episode!😡 My mom who was equally irritated with A's behavior and DS words told me - "This is the Ideal Indian woman. This is what society expects from women that she will love her husband, no matter what. She will do everything and CVs are showing just what our society wants"

How come the serial which claims to be an "awaaz" against social injustice and oppression of women, can show such regressive incidents?!!! Actually the biggest "Doglapan" has been from the makers of this serial. On one hand, they are claiming to be progressive while they continuously showing the women to be a doormat whose only motto in life should be to get married. 👎🏼
Shame!!!!!
Why can't the makers show women to be strong and practical? Can anyone please tell me 😕

Accessories for a perfect woman.

If Sacrifice is woman's Odhani
Patience is her Saari
Then
Acceptance is her Petticoat
Humility is her Sandal
Simplicity is her Blouse
Being Doormat is her Hairband.

CVs make serials for money, social message is just a pretext. I've always had issues with bogus Moral of the day messages of BV. I've been shouting form rooftops, why not make Jagya pay for his mistakes, why make Gauri the recipient of shoddy behavior.

oh she will , her dialogues indicated that, can this character get more regressive

if j indeed returns to a, he will be the most disgusting character ever,

It's another matter whether she continues loving J or not. But thinking that Jagya and Jagat are two different persons is height of stupidity.
exactly , jagya has himself said while doing their break up that he was always like this, jagya , jagat r all same, this funda of anadi completely goes over my head

yes, hope CVs read our post.

Gauri's is being scapegoated to cover Jagya's mistakes.
Anmol Sa - you are right, J has nothing to lose in this equation. Either way he has a basera.

What CVs have ended up showing in the name of social message is that no matter what happens in a family, its the women who create the problems and women who torture women and women suffer. Men are just little angels who accidentally fell in love with others and created havoc.

If DS is so smart and experienced as BV moral science of the day would tell you, why can't she do somethign to secure A's future. Her idea of A's future is to see A with J. But what about A's wishes? They carry no meaning.

A is shown as all sacrificing, all accepting human being. While this is how she is raised, why not show her dignity by dissociating from J&G mess and be the real daughter of the house. Forget her duties as bheendni and rescue this family from this morass by acting as a daughter. I hope CVs explore this aspect.

If BV is truly trying to be a social message carrier, then they need to show how A's life improves when she takes charge of her life. Showing her like a defeatist right now does not carry a strong message. That is pandering to popular TV ratings.

@doeylpakhi: If you are blaming the CVs for Anandi's character, please don't spare them for ruining Gauri's character. She is portrayed as equally stereotyped as a woman as Anandi. Let me argue why taking your points individually.

1. It was apalling to see how Anandi went to eat in J's plate after he finished off his lunch!!! 😡
Eating on husband's jhootha plate is horrible, Whether Anandi does it or Gauri does it, the act is condemnable and reflects an ill custom. Anandi is still an uneducated, superstitious rural woman but when Gauri being an educated, urban-bred girl runs to do the same thing it becomes pathetic.

2. I mean - WTH??!!!!! Whether Gauri eats from J's plate or not, it's completely different issue.
No it's not, it's the same issue. The custom remains an evil custom irrespective of who does it.

3. But why is Anandi eating from his plate?!! Doesn't this woman Anandi have any shame or self respect?🥱🤢😡
Anandi knows she is the legal wife, so she has all rights to the marriage----whether good or bad.

4. On one hand, Anandi says that one cannot snatch right in a relationship, on the other hand she is shocked and depressed when Gauri was ready to eat from J's plate. If Anandi is ready to move away from J's life for his happiness, can't she at least show some respect and value to herself?
The serial runs on forcing adhikars, and who does it better than Dr.Gauri? If Gauri's acts of forcing her relationship on the family is all in good will and does not show her lack of self respect, Anandi's act, under the impression that she is the legal wife---shouldn't be condemned as lack of self respect.

5. Also she says that she will wait for the real Jagya to be back even though there is least chance. Excuse me!! What does this mahan atma mean ??!!
She means that she is still in love with the man who used to be her husband and is still in a state of shock to rationalize things.
6. In which Utopian world is she living? Does she mean to say that J has changed after moving over to Mumbai?
The same Utopian world in which Gauri is living in which she believes that the man who lies to her for 5 years is still going to be trustworthy enough.
7. HUNH!!! Why can't Anandi accept the fact that J was a male chauvinist even before he moved to Mumbai.
For the same reasons as Gauri can't accept that once a cheater is always a cheater and keeps loving her Jagat. Also Jagya was always a male chauvinist but the Jagya before Mumbai is radically different from the Jagat in Mumbai. Please watch the earlier episodes to track his dramatic change of behavior.

8. It's another matter whether she continues loving J or not. But thinking that Jagya and Jagat are two different persons is height of stupidity.
Truly, so is Gauri stupid enough to overlook Jagya's baggage and take him as teh Jagat she knows. For Gauri, Jagya does not exist, it's only Jagat and hence she keeps calling him with the same name even after knowing his real name. For her he will always be Jagat, just as for Anandi he will always be Jagya. That's Anandi's coping mechanism with the new personality he has become.

9. On one hand, they are claiming to be progressive while they continuously showing the women to be a doormat whose only motto in life should be to get married. 👎🏼
Shame!!!!!

True, it's absolutely disgusting---------it's all the more disgusting to see a highly educated girl lamenting that her child marriage was aborted and that she was denied marital rights from childhood. 🤢

I absolutely agree with you that the CVs are showing immensely patriarchal, regressive values and stereotyping women to the worst possible extent. But when you take this point up, critically analyze both Anandi and Gauri instead of just bashing Anandi. Gauri's transformation from an enlightened, educated, sensible modern girl to a traditional, regressive, wronged against child bride dying for marital rights in her sasural and losing her sleep over every ritual is even more pathetic and sends a very wrong message about the integrity of educated women.

Welll Said Anthara!!! 👏

Jab anandi per baat atha hai tho shameless, no self respect, no this no that.
Lekin Jab wahi kaam humari daaactarni sahiba gauri karay tho CV ka fault

as if Anandi is not someone who CVs made. !!

Nice double standards

I am glad that gauri is getting what she is getting.

She didn't care abotu Anandi's feeling when she married jagat!

even after knowing that they spent 16 years of their lives together!!??? I mean come on

Jagat tho hai hi ghatiya isnay bhi koi kami nahi chodi!

She is getting what she deserves. She cannot respect the people around her, her in laws or any of the Jagat's relationship. Its always been Me, Myself and my childhood

and Jagya is just like that too. Me myself and me..

Good they don't deserve ANY happiness.!!

Attagirl, woman11. You said it all.

I am thoroughly disgusted by the message the writers are trying to convey- in their so-called attempt to counter a social evil, they are promoting archaic, baseless notions.

Apparently Anandi is a good woman because she sticks to the "virtuous woman" image, while Gauri dares to be a progressive and educated woman and is naturally a "temptress".(Let's just forget how her character has been butchered for now) One of feminism's strongest attacks has been against how patriarchy stereotypes women and forces them to conform to certain gender roles and expectations. It is a sad state of affairs indeed when the writers themselves are promoting these stereotypes.
