I think Gauri will try and adapt into the customs of the haveli, to the best of her ability anyway. But as she was raised in the city i think she will find it difficult to maintain. I think the constant appearance of Anandi in the house will make Gauri more and more insecure, esp if Jagiya is seen in the same vicinity as her.
I really hope they do not turn Gauri negative though, it is better for her to have grey shades, she can disklike people without acting against them or trying to bring them down
