Anjum's journalism experience helped her
Very few know that Anjum has even worked as a journalist with a website. She ended her stint in journalism to pursue her dream and become a creative director. While in her pursuit to get behind the camera, she was asked to audition for Balika Vadhu.
Talking about her experience in front of the camera, she says, "I had no experience when it came to acting. But as a journalist, I have been to various shoots and watched scenes being shot and rehearsed. One always cherishes such memories and they helped me move further in my career." So, does she enjoy all the attention? "I quit journalism to become a creative director. So that will be my next step. As far as attention is concerned, who doesn't like to be appreciated?"
Talking about her equation with Jagdish, played by Shashank Vyas, she says, "Shashank and I rehearse our scenes and that really helps us while shooting the sequence." Anjum is now looking forward to shooting with the entire cast. "I have yet not had any scenes with Surekhaji, Anupji, Smitaji or even Anandi, but yes, Shashank and I have got along like a house on fire," she says.
