Balika Vadhu track moves to Phooli's life

Total Hits: 33

Though Anandi (Pratyusha Banerjee) and Jagya (Shashank Vyas) take the center stage in Colors 'Balika Vadhu', but there is someone else also who adds importance to the story line of the show. It is Phooli, the widow friend of Anandi.

Phooli and Anandi

From our sources we have come to know that for some time now the track will focus more on Phooli's life than anyone else on the show. It is well known that Phooli has been living a miserable life since the time she became a widow. Villagers consider her 'ashubh' and refrain her from enjoying her life.

This detachment of colors from her life has made Phooli schizophrenic. She is seen writing love letters to herself and pretending as if some real person has written it to her. She will also be seen dressing up as a married woman in spite of being a widow. As she stays alone few people will try to take advantage of this situation and try to rape her. All this will further unstabilize her mental condition.

Through this sequence the producers of this show are trying to show the ill effects of being a widow in our society. They are highlighting how even today the widow women are not respected in our society.

thanks for the article madhu
phooli and schizo??? dont tell me 😔 tht'd b the last thing i want to see... hmm, may be they have just wrongly phrased it. come on!! living in a dream world to cope with realities isnt a crime - atleast as long as it doesnt affect the persons sanity in social situations. bandh kamre ki andar sajti savarti bhi hei to usme kya burai hai?

she perfectly understands the society around her - has comes to terms with it - and is trying to make herself feel better... thts how shez been shown so far... if its that way, well, its still sad... but schozo? it will b the extreme... CVs please dont!!!!
