Jagya rushes in just then and says he must leave soon to reach by evening and Anandi worries about what food to give Jagya. J reminds her that he is going to a city not a jungle. Unmoved Anandi says he can eat what he likes in Mumbai but till then J has to eat her food. J agrees and suddenly notices something different about A and wants to know what it is. Phooli tells him about Anandi dressing up and putting on make-up and J understands what the girls were up to all this time but says what the use of all this dressing is now that he is leaving. Anandi morose and cryingš. Phooli comforts her and says that A gave Jagya the courage to become a doctor and if he sees her crying he might not leave. Nandu wants to play with the paper plane that Mahaveer made with Basant. Grumpily Basant šagrees but when handed the plane he opens the paper plane and finds an important document. At which point he does what he does best starts scolding Nandu and tweaking his ears. Poor child starts crying and Gehna comes rushing to his rescue saying that Basant could have scolded him with a bit of love and understanding. Enraged (what's new??)Basant turns on Gehna accusing her of not taking care of Nandu properly. Gehna, not the silent type, retorts that Basant can also help with the looking after of Nandu''.this of course does not help matters much as Basant feels Gehna cannot be relied upon to do her motherly duties. Gehna puts the document back in its rightful file and hands it over with a hint of tears in her eyes when Basant ( I thought he might apologize BUT..) mutters that first Gehna makes a mistake and then starts crying.
BREAK
MV finds Nandu crying and wants to know what has happened to which the poor child says his Bapusa hit him. Just as MV picks up Nandu, he sees Basant striding towards him and tries to tell him to scold the child lovingly. For his pains Mahaveer gets a mouthful from Basant about no one having the right to interfere between him and his son and anyway what does Mahaveer know about bringing up a child. B marches off leaving MV in tears, Maasa looking worried tells MV not to mind Basant's words and to give him time. MV still cryingš (seems to have embraced the 'crying syndrome') hugs Nandu who now comforts his Dadusa.
Phooli and Anandi discussing Jagya's missing red shirt whilst Gehna looking sad and depressed in the kitchen. A goes off to the terrace to search for the shirt.
BREAK
Anandi hunting for the shirt spots it and when she goes to take it off the clothes line finds it magically moving away from her. Suspecting something she spots Jagya hiding amongst the hanging clothes and does a bit of frightening Jagya herself. Playfully they chase each other and collapse laughing š¤£on the terrace clothes line and all. Soon their laughter turns to sorrow. J tells her he wants to see her smiling when he leaves to which Anandi feels she cannot smile when J is not there.
PRECAP ' Jagya shouting whatever happened to Phooli was not her fault so why should I consider her unlucky (inauspicious). When Maasa and Bhairon try to intervene, he refuses to keep quiet and says that if all widows are considered unlucky then even Dadisa''..You can imagine the shocked looks on all faces present. š²
