hi. .it was quite understood that Mahaveer Singh would have tried to exploit Kalyani when she was widowed. He had tried to take advantage of her situation since she had nobody to turn to for help or safety in that big haveli.

And now she does not want her sons to know of her past ordeal for fear of bloody battle between Mahavir Singh and her sons...and losing the peace that they live in presently...so she is trying to settle it with Mahavir Singh on her own. Kudos to her for being so bold.

But, guys did you notice one thing, which struck me instantly when I saw yesterday's episode...

She was shown to be spending the night with her two little sons in a very beautiful and comfortable room ...nice bed...also she was given a very decent meal by that lady.

So, how come..when Sugna became widow, there were so many strict laws like sleeping on the floor in a cottage, her own chulha and food without any spices, ghee, meetha etc.

why were the same set of rules not applicable to her earlier. time should have been tougher rather 2 generations back.

according to tradition the widow cannot be sent to isolation if she has children to look after and as vasant and bhairav were small and kalyani was their mother she had to stayt with them.

but are you people sure there was some such tradition that widowed mothers with kids were not supposed to lead that tough life in 'kothris'. or is it just your inference???

because though she didnot have a child in hand physically, but Sugna was also pregnant and still had to live in that 'kothri' only....her child was still developing in her womb. but the requirement of the mother and child were the same physically and emotionally............what say?
