Highlights : Shyam cannot forget Suguna
Suguna fears Shyam's intentions
Shyam sits in his room and thinks about his conversations with Suguna in the last few days. He looks upset and keeps pacing around. He stands outside in his balcony. In her room, Suguna thinks that her family has already suffered so much due to her and fears that if they find out Shyam knows about her, they will be troubled even more. She decides to meet Shyam right away and not wait until morning.
She wraps herself in a blanket and heads out into the dark night. She covertly goes to Madan Singh's haveli and looks from outside the gate. On spotting Shyam on the balcony, she throws a note wrapped around a stone at Shyam. Shyam turns around to see who threw the paper. He sees a figure hurrying away from outside the haveli. The note says "Whatever I told you is a shameful matter for any girl. My family will lose respect in the village if it is revealed. I hope I can trust you enough to not reveal this secret to anyone". Shyam realises who wrote the note and softly calls out Suguna's name.
In the morning, Basanth waits for Shyam to go to the registrar. Maasa calls Bhairav and tells him that she feels all the bad events in the family was not a good sign. She tells him to take Sumitra and go to Kolayath and conduct ceremony for all their family ancestors. Just then Shyam enters. Suguna is nervous on seeing him. Shyam tells Maasa and her sons that he had something important to tell them. Suguna tries to linger around to find out if he will out her, but Maasa sends her away inside. Shyam takes out a box of halwa that his mother made for Maasa's family. He asks Anandi to heat it up for everyone. Anandi and Gehna heat up the halwa and get it out.
Shyam starts looking around, pacing impatiently for Anandi to show up, maasa laughs at this and tells him to be patient. Anandi comes out with halwa for everyone. Anandi takes some halwa for Suguna. Suguna eats some and likes it. Anandi then reveals that Shyam got it. Suguna stops eating and yells at Anandi. Just as Anandi leaves, Suguna stops her and nervously asks her what Shyam was discussing with Maasa. Anandi says that he was talking about work. She then starts to praise Shyam and says that he reminds her of Pratap. Suguna gets really mad when she hears this. She tells Anandi to never compare Shyam to Pratap and drives Anandi away. She throws the halwa away in anger.
As Suguna turns, she is hit with a note wrapped in stone. She sees Shyam standing outside her room. He leaves before she can stop him. In the note, Shyam promises Suguna that her secret is safe with him. He also tells her to do something for him..He asks Suguna to meet him on the terrace that night. Suguna is left thinking what to do......
