Why...
Do they need to show all the "abshagun" happening in the serial, like Phooli coming, Sugna going to take Dadi Saa ashirwad and she telling her to take ashirwad of Suhagans first, then there was a promo where the Sindoor falls while Jagya / Anandi are running (something like this).

We know that in future we will be seeing Sugna getting widowed, and they are showing all this "abshagun" happening.

Why Not...
They show that all things go nicely and there is no abshagun and still Sugna become a widow. I think that will be more better way to show the viewers that some things are not controlled by humans not matter what you do and people should not label things or happenings as "shagun / abshagun".

Now what they are showing will stress the fact that the presence of a widow, falling of sindoor etc is really an abshagun.

Excellent point pinkykhan. These upshagun's should not be shown as they bring down the value of the cause. Life and Death are not in any humans control. We can get so far with the help of the advancement of Science and Technology after which things get out of human hand....

I agree too that they shouldn't have shown all these "apshagun" events. Now daadisa will have all kinds of stupid reasons as to why Suguna is widowed. If they had not shown any of these incidents, they could have Bhairav or someone else bring up later that despite everything going well, no one could change the fact that Pratap died.

I dont think they are trying to show that its because of the abhshaguns that Sugna will become a widow. These are all just the fears that are in Maasas mind. Now the question lies... why are the creatives showing these to us, and what do they mean by them?
I think its because all the creatives are trying to show is these little abshaguns are taken so seriously by orthodox ppl like Maasa, that even coincidences like Sugna becoming a widow is taken as a result of these abshaguns. Basically ppl like Maasa are just looking for a reason/someone to blame a bad incident on.
Now take for instance if Phooli hadnt come to the Haldi or the thal didnt fall as shown in the promo, and Sugna became a widow even after that... Maasa wud still find a way to blame it on Phooli, saying she used to come to the house before and thus cast her dark shadow on Sugna.
We know Maasa is going to look back at all these abshaguns, and blame it on Phooli/Anandi/anyone when Sugna becomes a widow. But if Sugna didnt become a widow, Maasa wud conviniently forget that despite Phooli coming to the haldi, or anything else, nothing happened to Sugna. Thats what they are trying to show here, that orthodox ppl are just looking and searching for something around them to blame something on, and are just waiting to think the worst.
The creatives have not always shown that abshaguns end up in a disaster. One episode when Maasa was going to see her ill sister, Phooli crossed her path and yet her sister didnt die. Then again when she returned to see Phooli dancing at the gudda-guddi shaadi, she again called it an abshagun esp when her sister is ill. And right then they hear the good news of Gehna's pregnancy. So that topic convienently went off Maasa's mind. But on the contrary if her sister had died or Gehna's child had died, then she would have blamed it all on Phooli.
So overall what the creatives are trying to relay is that these abshaguns are not in any way corelated to any tradgedy... these are simply coincidences that are sometimes taken in the right way, and sometimes not as per the current situation. Despite knowing that such abshaguns do not always end badly, such orthodox people use them to do atrocities on widows, and the like.
Nice topic of discussion Pinky👏

i do not know but like dadisa even a large section of viewers(particulalry in rural India) may miss the earlier points of abhshaguns leading tp tragedy....by these series of abshaguns leading sugna tragedy may leave an everlasting impact on them
i hear more dadisa's saying....look i told you that these things matter....but children of today don't listen...see this is what they have even shown in the serail....supposedly meant to raise social issues and a need to change...
I find this to be a very negative meesage to be sent out to the society.

really they want to show the REALITY...its still going on in many places in India...they are just showing each and evry possible thing...so that ppl understand that these are not appropriate things...the serial has always shown the negative effects of Bal vivah and other customs
it is in the viewers hand whether to take it positively or negatively..
i m not going against your point ha...ur point is also ryt...but just gave my opinion

@ every1 - yes what is being shown will make Dadi Saa's "Vahm" even more stronger, and will also add stress to the fact that all these superstitions or "Vahms" that are prevalant are true and people should believe in them.

I feel it would have been better had they shown that Dadi is superstitious, is looking out for all these things, none happened and still Sugna is widowed, so its not due to all these "Vahms".

@sparkling star - why would any1 mind u stating ur POV, u r most welcome to share ur views. My point is that yes the educated class can think and decide the negative and positive points but what about the un-edu. class who follow customs / rituals etc. blindly all this will re-enforce those things.
