gehna questioned her husband about marrying a young girl ....but why she didn't question her own father about marrying his own daughter to a man of his age...basant and her father are almost same age ...if she is that strong why she didn't stand against her father......

I think Gehana accepted marriage to older person as it helped her parents financially. But her problem is more that Basanth and Daadi are responsible for the death of previous Taiji. She know that if she will have complicated pregnancy then they will let her die too...

I dont think gehna was strong before......but after going through physical assault she started showing her stronger side.......and when she learnt abt jamunas truth she started revolting...

it was a progressive change and she realized if she does not stand up for herself ...they will let her die also like @val0822 mentioned.

Gehna is very unfortunate to have parents as such parents ,who basically sold her in exchange for debts. Where there is a supply ,there will be demand. Poverty makes people do strange things. If these parents can not afford to raise their kids, they certainly should not have them. Old taiji is a problem on another level that unedjucated and some edjucated people feel that they need a son to carry on their family name. People still fail to knowledge that they are remembered by the good things are done by them not just by having an offspring.
