Sindoor Tere Naam Ka: Sharad Kelkar makes his television debut with Sindoor Tere Naam Ka. He plays the character of Rudra Raizada in the show which has a negative shade. He falls in love with Niharika, (Kirti Gaikwad) who is also his real life wife now. They both come together to take revenge from Dhruv and Vedika in the show. He becomes quite famous from this show.

Saat Phere: In Saath Phere, Sharad Kelkar comes as a full package. Yes, he was the leading actor in the show. He played the supportive husband of Saloni( Rajshree Thakur). Saath Phere was about a Rajput family which goes through different problems. And how Nahar and Saloni solve them. The show was doing well and it ran for four years but then because of falling trps the show has to be called off. But Sharad Kelkar becomes famous.

Rock N Roll Family: Not only we have seen Sharad as an actor in daily soaps, he has also anchored Rock N Roll Family, which was a reality show which included dance as well as singing but this show was a little different from others as there were families as participants. Sharad Kelkar hosted the show along with Mauli Dave.

Pati,Patni Aur Woh: Sharad Kelkar was also part of NDTV Imagine's show Pati Patni Aur Woh where the couple has to take care of a small kid. Sharad Kelkar participated with wife Kirti Kelkar and they did well.

Nach Baliye 2: Nach Baliye 2 saw Sharad Kelkar and Kirti Kelkar together in the show. Sharad is not a bad dancer, so was Kirti but both didn't match the level of Tina and Hussain but they were in the show for quite a long time.

Bairi Piya: Sharad started with a negative role and he is now also there in the show as a lead but he is playing a negative character in the show. Where he plays the landlord and uses all the village girls in barter of land and loans. He is doing a great role in the show. The show has also received much criticism, despite it revealing the true miserable conditions of poor peasants. Women Rights Commission has pleaded for the show to be discontinued since the practice of taking young girls to fulfil landlords' needs was not admissible for open public viewing.
