I love the show for all its amazingly funny moments...ignoring surili &co antics. All the discussions here is like icing on cake. I not that good at expressing thoughts, but ditto to everything discussed here. I completely agree. 👏

[Episode 65] May 13th, 2016HI HI HI HI HI *Rajni-style*🤗I take a week-long hiatus (laptop kharab ho gaya😭) and the story goes from where to where!!😆😆 Rajni bai?? More like super-cool super-bai!😆😆I always look forward to 2 things - the episode and your updates!!- Mission Karela-to-Muffin begins. Rajni attempts to bridge the gap between Dhyaan and Sharmila with a little tech trick...This might not have worked, but I loved a few things about this scene that are not necessarily related to the show itself...One, the music at the beginning when Rajni decides to light up the sign - so pretty! I wish TV shows had soundtracks/scores that they could release or at least post online! This show has some really lovely music! Two, Rajni's expressions all throughout this scene are adorable, but I especially love her "I'm just standing here, innocent as can be...I didn't do anything, nope, nope, nope" expressions! What a cutie! No wonder Shaan is always poking her cheeks affectionately or hugging her - that's exactly what I wanted to do, too! Three, Dhyaan telling Sharmila, "Tumhe bhi smile karte hue dekhne ko...aankhen taras gayi thi" reminded me of a very similar line of Pankit's in a memorable scene from DMG. Yeah, massive Atul vibes from Pankit here!@music: So glad to see you heard it too! I really love how, even when it's a comedy show, they give romance and understanding their due importance in the scenes...and I can simply imagine how sweet it must have been when it was lit up!@bold: Yes, yes yes!!! Rajni completely nailed it!!! What I absolutely loved was that she was clearly trying very hard to do the "nope nope" expression but it was not at all subtle - and so Rajni-like!@Sharmila-Dhyaan: I just wanted to add that it was quite sweet when they came out at the start of the scene and their expressions too - Sharmila was quite upset and really wanted to say something while Dhyaan was fighting between trying to look indifferent and actually saying something...Bonus: Matching colours😳😳- "Wow. Yeh saare problem tumhari wajah se hue hai, aur MAIN sorry boloon?! Kyun?!" Exactly! Thank you, Dhyaan! I'm not even going to bother talking about the kiddie tantrum that Karela throws in response. Just when I think she can't get more childish, she surprises me. And not in a pleasant way. One thing I will mention, though, is that Rajni's "Aww! Cupcake chala gaya! How sad!" totally could have been misconstrued as being sarcastic...And here I thought we'd have a little progress on the bahu bonding front. Never mind.@Sharmila: sigh...she still hasn't learnt anything@Rajni: ABSOLUTELY!!!🤣🤣 It's little wonder Sharmila was so angry at her - she thought Rajni was making fun of her!!! At this point I think I've given up on bahu-bonding and I'm just thinking, Rajni give them what you've got.- Dhyaan's incredulous expressions are like the icing on the cake. Oh, and Rajni's interjections are awesome! "Bechare Nanaji! Kaam mein bahut busy rahe honge. Sirf muhavre sunaa de gaye. Matlab toh samjhaana bhool hi gaye!" The saving grace of the scene - Rajni Kant!@Rajni: Sometimes I feel like we can live vicarously through Rajni who calls out all the typical catchphrases and filmy dialogues in the show in the most Rajni-way possible!! I love how the show writers weave in these little gems from time to time to remind us how clueless Rajni is about human behaviour and interactions😆- I thought we'd get to see a good old Amrish-Surili scene after ages, but nope, Shogata had to ruin that, too. Finally found out how the BHR team spells that name, thanks to BTS videos, yay. But she's still annoying and disrespectful towards Amrish. I'm glad that Amrish has plenty of sarcasm to counter her...but it's terrible that he has to resort to sarcastic comments to begin with. Can these people develop a healthy family relationship, please? I have to admit, though, Neha was a perfect casting choice for the role of Surili's daughter. She and Pallaviji look like they could be related, expressions-wise, and this particular scene drove home that point again. Expressions, tone, and body language - Shogata definitely takes after her mother. They reminded me of witches, cackling away at the end of the scene.@bold: Of all the things wrong with this show, this is one point that cannot be explained, understood or tolerated😡😡😡 From the very beginning, Shoguta has been nothing but horrible to her dad who has never done anything that should make her as such. The thing is, while Surili also has airs and such,1) her arrogance is definitely not as bad as Shogu's when talking to Amrish2) she actually talks to him like a normal person3) she is his wife and hence on an equal position whereas Shogu is his daughter and should afford him some amount of respect@Surili: The kalash!! So she is still stuck on that...ah well...@cackle: That was just...weird on all levels🤢- Ah, got my Amrish-Surili scene! Amrish singing is too funny! He may be irrational with this whole paneer thing, but I still think he's hilarious. I love Surili's aghast expressions in the background while Amrish is reading off the list of paneer items he's ordered, LOL. "Maine har cheez mein paneer dalwaaya hai. Jisme padta hai, usmein bhi, jisme nahi padta hai, usmein bhi!"@Amrish-Surili: Can i just say...AWWW😳These two can be so adorkable when they want to!😆😆 The way he just hugs her and she continues to look so befuddled...I really hope we get more scenes like these because the whole argument phase between the two just looked horribly petty and really stupid...middle-aged couples can be so cute too!Bonus: Amrish trapeizing over the fountain to his food! Trying to show off to his bechara khichdi-bound son!😆++Bonus: When Dhyaan mentions to the guy that his maa-baap have given him good sanskaar and Surili looked on fondly, I felt like that should have been a defining moment in this entire border-wala fight of theirs. The main reason Amrish sent him over was because he thought Dhyaan didn't appreciate them and didn't realise he had made a mistake. But it seems like he has probably learned from it. The ending now is merely about who lets go of his ego first and accepts the other.+++Bonus: Surili's slight moment of hesitation when Amrish asks if it was her - she probably wishes it was but she can't get poor Amrish mad at her!😆- "Zeher?!" "Yes." Hah, Surili's face as she, for once (!!!) agrees with Rajni's word of caution about the unknown parcel of food. Okay, so I might have missed a few clues here, but who actually ordered that food for Dhyaan?I just died at zeher and what happened following it:Amrish: Surili, yeh zeher bolke meri tadaf kyun dekha??Surili: *horrified* DHYAAN VERY BAD!I absolutely love the way Surili gets pulled within their fight...she tries to side with Amrish but eventually melts for her adorable (he manipulatively pulls his adorable smile every time she looks!) son😆😆- "Mujhe nahi pata." "Tumhe sab pata hona chahiye." Ah, this is great! Shaan takes Rajni's "Aapko pata hona chahiye" line and flips it around. Love it!- "I'm sorry. Aap sab ki safety ke liye, main yeh khana kisi ko bhi khane nahi de sakti. It's very dangerous." Rajni sounds like an air hostess, haha. And Shaan's like, "What...? Khichdi???"- I'm guessing paneer is one of Dhyaan's favorite foods...But it seems like it's one of Shaan's super-favorite foods! The poor guy throws such a tantrum about eating khichdi again, haha! "Shaan. Doosron ke khane ko bhukkad ki tarah mat dekho. Bad manners. Aapko bhi kaam karna chahiye aur paise kamaane chahiye." *Shaan turns angrily, spoon in mouth* "Main 24 ghante kaam karta hoon! Mera sabse important project kya hai tumhe pata hai, na, Rajni?" These two are so married and so hilarious. Rajni in wife mode, scolding Shaan for his bad manners and lack of money to run their half of the house; Shaan, acting like a total baby one minute and then trying to tell Rajni not to blow their cover the next minute. And then there's Dhyaan, the devar who is totally on his Rajni Bhabhi's side. Love him!@Bold: Omg yesss!!!🤣🤣🤣The best part is that Rajni is so logical about it, but Shaan brushes it off like a typical pati expecting her not to complain! And very bad Shaan - your endearing patni has made you whatever she could from whatever she had and you still don't appreciate it! I hope she goes on a cooking strike one day and then Shaan will run back to her apologising for his idiocy!😆😆Bonus: Amrish and his obsessive paneer antics: hitting the plate, "paneer kofta pass kar do!" etcAnd bechara Surili looking on to her sons so sadly...it actually got me quite sad for a while because she didn't want any of this fight...and then I remember how she tried to hurt Shaan with his ex's sari and the sadness all goes away🤔- "Main bekaar nahi hoon! I'm a scientist!" "Haan, I know, par agar humein bhook lage, toh aapke machine ke nut-bolts toh nahi khaa sakte, na? Ya phir pyaas lage, toh machine oil toh nahi pee sakte, na?" Point for both. And Rajni pipes up, "Main pee sakti hoon!" which sends Shaan into temporary panic mode. Interesting to note that Dhyaan is totally brushing Rajni's quips aside right now...Every time this happens, I wonder, is he going to be the next one to find out about her?I agree! He's heard most of her weird robotic antics now, I wonder what exactly he thinks of her? For now, he thinks she's very funny and likes to joke a lot - but maybe he might be the next to know? As it is, he has quite a lot of love for her so the problem wouldn't be between him and Rajni but I think more of what he thinks of Shaan...- The final scene is my favorite from this episode. Unexpected, and it totally stole the show! Dhyaan comes to Rajni for blessings, while Surili is slowly, unhappily trying to eat her paneer-filled breakfast. I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume that her appetite is gone, partly because she doesn't like paneer and partly because her sons weren't able to have a proper breakfast and Amrish still shows no signs of relenting about the Amrish rekha.- "Insaan patthar ki murat se aashirwaad leta hai. Yeh toh jeete-jaagte insaanon ki photo hai. Inse aashirwaad kyun nahi le sakte? I'm sure photo se bhi aapko aashirwaad hi denge." And Surili does give Dhyaan her blessings...All the best. Along with Pallaviji's expressions, I absolutely love the music in this part of the scene! This is such a touching moment between mother and son...and Rajni was right. Surili redeemed herself for a few minutes with this...I know she has the potential to prove herself to be a good mother and mother-in-law, but it's an uphill climb. I eagerly await the days when Surili will go from saas to saheli, as hinted in the BHR promos. I'm sure we'll get there...eventually. Let's see what else she has in store for Rajni in the form of that "naukri."It definitely made me rather confused and somewhat hopeful - that perhaps this show of affection might be her U-turn towards general humanity...she's still being weird with Shogu, but perhaps at least for the sake of her sons, she could become someone we can cheer for. Also, what does she think of Rajni after she brought out the portraits? What she told Dhyaan wasn't merely to appease him, but it also portrayed her great respect for both Amrish and Surili. Does Surili still think it's all a dekhava?- For now, I'll take what I can get in the form of bhabhi-devar bonding from Rajni/Dhyaan, because they are wonderful! "Message nahi aaya?" "...Nahi." "Koi baat nahi. Main jaanti hoon...unka aashirwaad hamesha mere saath hai." Oh, Rajni. You deserve so much more love from this family. You are an angel! "Bhabhi, ek baat kahoon? Aap insaan nahi hai." "Aapko kaise pata?" Haha, I love her expression as she asks this. She looks so pleased! But Dhyaan is thinking along the same lines as me. "Aapko dekh ke koi bhi yeh keh sakta hai ki aap insaan nahi, farishta ho." "Main farishta bhi nahi hoon!" "Lekin mere liye toh hai. Aapne hamesha sab ka bhala chaha hai. Lekin phir bhi sab log aapke khilaaf hai." #TeamRajniFTW@bold:😭😭😭 Of everything else, her hopeful face broke my heart the most🥺🥺I think the worst part is that for Rajni, it's simply logical facts and events happening, but to us, these little details mean so much more - like how the absence of a message shows what Surili still thinks of her...@Dhyaan: Just down-right amazing devar everrr😳 If anyone's handing out Best Devar awards of the year, this is the number 1 candidate!- "Yeh toh wohi waali baat ho gayi...Woh ajeeb ho gaye, aur hum gareeb!" This is actually apt for this trio. And how lovely is it that Rajni packed a tiffin full of food for Dhyaan? He's all ready to refuse the food for her sake, but she insists that he'll need it more than her. Aww. I kind of wish Rajni could find a job outside the house, but there is the very realistic point that she has no qualifications on paper...She has pretty much materialized out of thin air...So we're going to have to see how she deals with taking Aishwarya's place. Ironically, this is essentially what Shaan designed her for. Good luck, Rajni Bai!@Degree: Random quip but that was the first thing that hit my mind when she was looking for work...she has absolutely no education or anything to speak of! I think it's seriously high time Shaan gets down to sorting out this BTS mess he has because somehow or someday, someone will catch on to this discrepancy and then it's game over for Rajni.@Replacing Aish: I think I'm most excited about this because after all this time with Rajni, how exactly will Shaan take to his "wife"becoming the bai?? Is he going to be all thumbs up or...will he feel, oh I don't know, embarassed, sad, not that happy?😉😉
HI HI HI HI HI *Rajni-style*🤗I take a week-long hiatus (laptop kharab ho gaya😭) and the story goes from where to where!!😆😆 Rajni bai?? More like super-cool super-bai!😆😆I always look forward to 2 things - the episode and your updates!!
