Bahu Begum has Prime time slot but the lowest TRP on Colors, if I am not wrong, makers know that Shazaan centric track has potential to increase TRP and it did in week 38, when Shazaan celebrated Shaira's birthday them the next week which revolved around attack on Shaira and had many beautiful Shazaan scenes, this week ended on a very stupid note with everyone having a memory loss and/ or degradation of characters I loved into hypocrites.

The thing here is that there's no problem with Noor being everything that is pure in land of Bahu Begum, after everything she has done, it is rather difficult to digest that the woman who was so manipulative in everything she did is just a child, she talks like a child, acts like a child, her brain is like a child.

Azaan has changed completely, he is misbehaving with Shaira on daily basis, maybe along with their attempt to get love for Noor they want viewers to dislike Shazaan, but the question is why would anyone do this? When they saw that TRP increased with focus on Shazaan?

Also Noor's character should have matured from there, there should have been guilt and proper character growth for people to love Noor, Samiksha fans loved her when she was evil, if they wanted us to like Noor then first thing they should have done was not let Noor come between Shazaan in every scene. .

I came down to two conclusions after analyzing everything 1 Writers are incapable of writing a good story and should be fired

2 Everything is leading to something different

Noor asking Dadi for her Mu dikhai, making joke of divorcing Azaan, coming between Shazaan, no monolog about how wrong she was to Shaira, no guilt of whatever she has done to them.

Dadi had divorce papers where she wrote that Noor gets everything, who is Noor? Why would she want to throw a servant's daughter out of the house? She says that she doesn't like Noor and at the same time signed everything in Noor's name, this house and property is something which will make Noor Bahu Begum, why would anyone take a chance like this, to throw a servant's daughter out of the house? Or she did not want Noor and Azaan's marriage to end.

Noor had once rejected 70% property to get Azaan and everything which comes with him, this house is as she had stated a Ghate ka shauda, she tore papers back then and married Azaan, she burnt papers now and stayed married to Azaan.

Noor taking away Dadi's jewelry which she was giving to Shaira because she is Azaan's wife, Noor wearing Bahu Begum's Paasa, all this because Noor is a child? All this is being done by her childish heart, it's just very stupid

Azaan is getting mad at Shaira everyday, Noor is growing closer to him, Shaira has started doubting them

1 Noor is great and Shazaan are idiots, all part of maker's plan to show Noor as good and every other character as stupid.

2 Separation of Shazaan and Noor succeeding in her mission

Shaira is used to fit Noor in the story, she keeps supporting Noor, Dadi's intentions wrong but she says everything right, it's like she wasn't in the house but she is the only one who remembers everything Noor has done, also Dadi had the same picture of Shazaan and Noor which Noor has in her bedroom, she knows every detail of Noor's actions, she is distasteful to Noor on face, is very sweet to Shaira. Asgar asked her if someone is supporting her in this, she didn't reply, Noor never denied that she wants to be a Bahu Begum.

Brilliant analysis Nora and I completely agree with your reasoning. These episodes are leading to only two possible things; Noor is still the same devious creature, now working with Gazala Dadi or the writers really have no imagination and would ruin characters who can save the show, just so N can be white-washed (not).

I had also thought Azaan's rude behaviour was due to the twisted logic of making us like N, for giving her advice (where it was not required) or to 'support' Shayra. The writers presented her as a peace-maker, when she has shown no signs of reflection, change or maturity and this is something most viewers can not accept. It is shocking how these writers can butcher the story and characters for N.

In a previous thread you presented the possibility of Azaan forgiving N just to test if she had truly changed. It would be a fantastic twist if he knowingly allowed N and GD to plot and plan but when they thought to have succeeded, it would be revealed that he never trusted them at all. The writers can begin placing hints of Azaan's hidden motive now...

To watch a retrospect of how, Azaan risked his relationship with Shayra just to save it, would be poignant and satisfying after all this torture. That he was making her strong all along and when GD spoke the wrongly-intended truth, he felt those words just as Shayra did. It has scope for beautiful and positive ShaZaan moments. Shayra will be stronger and will assert her rights without any hesitation or thoughts of promises and friendships lost. This is needed to save Azaan's character and so ShaZaan can finally unite against N’s wrong doings, removing her from their marriage.

Polygamy was a difficult topic to present and now the writers should accept that they did not write it well. Viewers can tolerate N, with her no-so-childish behaviour or actions. To watch a decent character hurt after she was forgiven, is not my choice of viewing either. The TRP audience clearly do not love N and now GD as much as the writers seem to.

Azaan should be pretending and he should expose NoGa. ShaZaan should finally have happy uninterrupted moments and RB should realise she has sown the seeds for the trouble in their lives. It is known that the actors never receive scripts in advance so it is possible for the writers to bring back the Azaan and ShaZaan from the forced/post nikaah track...

The following track could explore the question of injustice towards Azaan's father... Though I wonder if the writers are willing to invest in the emotional drama of Azaan searching his past/seeking the father while balancing the relationship with his mother. It would be interresting to see the future Nawab of Bhopal answer GD's questions of fairness, justice and family...

Brilliant Nora. Your analysis does have some strength. Writers know that initial days of high trp which is 1.6 was because of Azaan and he immediately developed Shazaan character beautifully. Then Noor started getting more attention from makers (perhaps because of nepotism) which lead to TRP fall from 1.6 to 0.9 . Later TRP started rising gradually because of all the reasons that you have mentioned and we all agree to it. Question is that if writer knows it so well that its shazaan n their scenes can get trp and Noor is always the cause behind their TRP fall, then why is writer still obsessed with Noor? What could seriously be the cause behind obsession with negative character like Noor and Gazala?

Polygamy is a very sensitive topic and if not presented properly, it is bound to ruin the serial. This is what has happened in Bahu Begum. Maybe azaan is pretending to be close to dadi so that once the truth comes out with proof, he will be able to expose her with truth. I though he is pretending with Noor the same way, however my thought changed after he blindly trusted her and signed those divorce papers which had alimony demand in it. Maybe azaan attitude towards razia and shayra has changed because he knows that shayra and razia dont like gazala just the way he doesn't like noor. so he wants to prove how he feels when shayra and razia behaves with noor.

I had stopped watching the show for a while...well... because of life and I started to lose some interest tbh. Decided to check out the forum and see what was going on with the show right now and it is just probably as bad or worse than I imagined the direction of the show to go.

I think it's been about a couple of months since I watched the show daily?... I'm surprised they seemingly have not done anything of value on the show that has left the audience satisfied with the storyline, outside of what I'm assuming were random shazaan moments...

Is this worth catching up or should I just read your updates? Or did I really not miss anything haha.

I did see some clips on instagram, and I totally agree with your points. From what little I saw, it seems like Noor's character did a 180 degree change without any consequence, or repentance for her actions. That's so annoying.

@ fria319 - I would suggest watching from this point and then decide if you want to continue. Not worth watching previous episodes but if you have any questions regarding the story we are here to answer them. 😆

@ Fria - After watching the latest spoilers I have decided to take a break from the show.

The writers can only think of their precious child-monster with a good heart, who is forgiven by everyone and her wrong doing is forgotten. On the other hand they just love to torture Shayra and blame her for murder. Latest news is that Gazala Dadi traps her by making her think she hit Aladdin ( GD's servant ) with her car and then she does not allow Shayra to help him. If that was no absurd enough, GD digs A's grave and buries him...

No doubt they want to prove Azaan to be useless and show their favourite character N save the day... In an attempt to show what a great friend she is to Azaan because he is too blind and Shayra does not deserve to have a happy married life...

Presenting polygamy is one thing, making all the characters weak to glorify N and GD is just nonsense and I will not watch the show till the track changes...

I think instead of giving Noor scenes where audience can accept her as a changed person, they have decided to degrade Shazaan so Noor looks better in comparison.

I always described Shazaan as love, trust and respect. Azaan is misbehaving and disrespectful towards Shaira, it's not only one scene but every time he is taunting her so Noor gets a chance to come between them and teach Azaan how he should behave with his wife. Now Shaira is doubting Azaan, obviously in the end Noor will teach Shaira how Azaan is not a cheater.

Funny thing is that this is same Azaan who went through hell to keep Shaira's promise, the same Shaira, who knew that Azaan didn't touch Noor, she knew everything Azaan said to Noor on their wedding night without even being there, this was the level of trust and respect they have shown and with this along with Shaira, Azaan now they have dumped Shazaan. All this for Noor, I would understand it if this hyper Noorie track was fetching them TRP, but it is not

0.7 is epic level of failure for a show which airs at 9:30 pm
