As the name suggests, Family Day is an event that is intended to allow loved ones to take a respite from their daily lives and spend quality time together. One of the best things about this occasion is that there is no single "requirement for the activities to be celebrated; Family Day is a flexible as it is relaxing.

Unsurprisingly, this day is held at different times of the year within different parts of the world. Still, the overall intention is the same. As all of us are leading increasingly hectic schedules, this day is intended to give us a bit of leisure time outside of the "hustle and bustle of our routines.

Some may choose to have a festive meal together while others can instead attend a religious event or simply take a picnic. Either way, this day is one of the best ways to remind us of the importance of family in our lives.

Love Note Day is a day to tell someone you love them, by writing a message of love in the form of a note. Though the traditional way of doing this is in handwritten form, eCards are another way of sending out a love message on this particular day.

This day can be at its most effective when the recipient of the message isn't aware that Love Note Day even exists! Consequently, a loving message will come as a pleasant surprise.

For couples that plan exchanging Love Notes, then doing so in unpredictable ways can make the whole day a fun experience. Leaving a note in a fridge, or on the inside of the bathroom door are just two examples.

Love Note Day can be for any family members or for long time friends, too. It's the perfect day to make someone feel appreciated through just a few heartfelt words.

Monty Python famously sang the Lumberjack Song and a rendition of this would be appropriate for Lumberjack Day. The history of this celebration dates back to the mid-2000s when Marianne Ways and Colleen AF Venable decided it was time to honor this venerable profession. Venable herself worked as a lumberjack although she has admitted that the original idea for the day was conceived as an excuse to go out and eat pancakes and waffles with friends.

Lumberjack Day has caught on though and is now celebrated by many. Anyone that wants to join in can organize a party for friends and family where the idea is for everyone to dress up in the clich lumberjack style of plaid shirts, boots, suspenders, and beards. If you are of the opinion that there are not enough days set aside to celebrate fictional vigilantes, who dress up as flying creatures in order to tackle crime, then we agree with you. Fortunately, there is one such date set aside every year Batman Day.

The purpose of Batman Day is to celebrate the anniversary of the character's first ever appearance, which was in Detective Comics #27 way back in May 1939.

Since those early comic book appearances, Batman has grown into one of the world's best-loved and most recognisable fictional characters, and is the focal point of television shows, animated cartoons, video games and Hollywood blockbusters.
