I am mainly compelled to make a post today to counter the immensely stupid click-baiting and fear-mongering happening in this forum right now.

How ironic that we live in times where only fear mongering can increase 'forum activity'. I can only hope that better sense prevails and people stop promoting such nonsense.

Apologies in advance to those expecting me to gush about today's episode. It was not a bad episode by any means, and I am definitely happy that the Yogi track has been finished off. That does not however mean that this episode was not rushed.

This pattern that the show has established in the past few days of aimlessly going around in loops and then suddenly rushing to kick the "villains" out is not the most optimum form of storytelling. Good storytelling allows moments to play out for impact, to make it all compelling.

Abhi learning about Yogi and confronting him...nice, yes...but showing it so out of the blue completely diluted the impact for me and made it hard for me to buy it as a storyline...throwing in one random shot of Abhi discovering Rohan and piecing everything together still doesn't make it convincing presentation-wise.

The actual confrontation scene was good with Abhi so palpably disgusted with his father but even there, they tried to rush through so many things...suddenly showing Yogi calling Babli (not even showing the actual phone call properly😕😆) and then packing him off...so so rushed. It felt like whiplash...the sheer speed at which things were unfolding.

I could have let all that go had they atleast managed to show an Abhi-Meera convo...or let the hug play out enough...but what is this rush in editing even the hug? These days, they aren't even able to use the song properly on them...it starts and stops in a quick 15 second bit and end of scene😕...this could have been the highlight...letting the whole thing play out...heck finding a dhang ka space to execute it instead of that tight corridor😕...but no, we have to rush to catch some mythic train it seems. This could have been Meera's moment of introspection...but again, nothing...it's like they performed the hug mechanically and then on to the next scene...and I don't even mean this for the actors...I mean this for the characters...Meera as a character should have been given some pause here...but again, hardly anything.

We are hurtling towards the confession and shaadi at jet speed, I get that...but instead of spending 10 minutes on the cousins trolling Radhika (funny as that was), that time could be used more judiciously to build Meera up in what is (supposedly) a crucial high point of the show...oh well.

Today was all about loop closures at lightening speed...so be it...bring on the shaadi...jaise bhi sahi😆

Precap is such a blooper...LOL puri Ramayan khatam hogayi and cousins are NOW asking ki does Abhi love Meera? HAIN? Didn't the ENTIRE freakin family hear Daadi-Amma ka shouting match a few weeks back about needing to marry Radhika off to Abhi so that he is not running after that "Ameerzaadi Meera"? Writers have forgotten their own writing in what seem like rushed last minute track closures.

True. However much I liked it, I have to concede to your point. It WAS rushed.

I felt that about Aman episode and then Yogaraj torturing Rohan part too. Especially, later as it seemed like a few variation of the same scene.

I liked the confrontation scene except for the muting the call to Babali. I felt it was important to know how she reacts to it. It does make a difference as in pre cap they show her all happy and it was a bit tough to digest that she takes Yograj's leaving the place (even for a temporary work) just before their son's weddings too easily. The question of how the money is arranged for Abhi's wedding is another matter, altogether.

It was rushed. Especially after such a prolonged (and in some scenes, repetitive) build up, they could have spend today's episode on the confrontation and consolation only.

Ditto.

Word to that!!! But that WAS a funny scene!

Today was all about loop closures at lightening speed...so be it...bring on the shaadi...jaise bhi sahi😆

Actually, I would have liked to see a bit more romance today. Even if it is unintentional on part of Meera. :-D

I missed a few episodes and few parts of a few episodes so can not comment on this. :-)

Can you believe, I missed the heavily criticised Love realisation of Abhi?

And this was a really good post! :-D

Bring them on!

Anu yaar they must have headphones in their ears when dadi called the meeting to do the big reveal and sab temporarily deaf they hahaha but the bacha party is so funny and their plan to troll radhika was so good when she started the pranam I was like wth how can 1 be so stupid
Also babli Ji looked all smiling and laughing like it's her shaadi in precap so I guess yogiass doesn't fit in her picture as well

I do agree with you that it was rushed and went round and round in circles esp wanted abhi Rohan scene where abhi gets to know the truth it was so W*F ish

But I liked the hug wala scene mainly caz their expressions were so good and where abhi confronts loser yogiass . Aur phonecall was a joke even I was like what surf yeh kehne ke liye babli Ji phone kia tha ke phir baat hoti hai or something of that sort

Not to add to speculations but the hurry the jaldbazi only is leading to an immature end and I don't want to think about it and just want to enjoy whatever we have .

As I was reading your post, I was nodding my head at each and every one of your points. The writing in today's episode wasn't horrible per se, but yeah there's a loss of connect - when it's all pieced together, it doesn't create an impact the way it should. That Radhika scene definitely went on for way too long, and I didn't find it to be that funny.

I was also waiting for an Abhi-Meera convo. Why didn't Meera question Abhishek as to why he was so upset with her earlier? There just needed to be more of a discussion between the two of them there. Even when they went back to see Rohan, and Meera sees the wedding sign, if that was really supposed to be "the" moment of her understanding her feelings for Abhishek, it wasn't very convincing. There just needed to be some more development from Meera's POV today. I'm guessing it will all happen tomorrow within one episode...lol...

Meera's proposal is looking quite typical with the whole "let's stop the shaadi" routine, but I guess it can be saved by Namita and PJ's performances, and I am sure they will make it likeable. It's quite obvious they are just trying to get Abhishek and Meera together as quick as possible, so they can move on to the main story. Maybe the writing will be more smooth after that (hopefully!)

Ditto ditto ditto to what you said!!! I expected a Rohan Abhishek conversion. But they showed a random kolhapur chappal fellow n we've to assume the text .hain?!?!?!
That babli bit as well!!
Most most most disappointing thing has to be the hug!!! Like what the hell. Did the editing , camera bhaiya the off to some vacation???
It had so much potential!!! Sab phusss. It was supposed to be their first hug!!! Very very poor editing by any serial standard and exactly the cousins scene was given do much of screenspace... Isko bhi de dete..humne mana thodi kiya tha??
Can't they even give some more time for Meera to think??? I've been patient an these days. But aaj I've run out of patients too. This is not the same team that have the initial episodes!!! They k knew where to pause n where to rush. Now it's exactly the opposite!!
Sighhh

Exactly...it's so very evident that they were in a SUPER rush to dispose of Yograj...to the point that they didn't even bother to manage the reactions of the associated characters well...tried to brush it all off with a quick muted phone call?😕...and I'm not even any fan of Yograj but the exit storyline needed better execution.

Today's Abhi-Meera scene didn't really require full on romance per se but it just required a better moment of connect...PJ-ND are both fully capable of executing on this front but the direction/editing needs to support them better.

LOL@ the headphones theory...and hahaha@ Babli laughing like it's her shaadi in the precap...yes the excitement levels are off the charts right now for Bade Bhaiyya ki shaadi...kaise bhi😆

Re: hug...It was still kind of an awkward hug...Abhi's expressions could have had more nuance...he's still in bechara/stiff mode...even the way they moved into the hug could have been more...spontaneous I felt...dunno but the moment needed something more...maybe they can move past all this post confession cuz honestly right now real life PJ-ND hugs end up looking better than this😕😆

Re: speculations...it could be anything...I honestly really don't care if that is what this is headed towards...I'm going to talk about whatever storyline they present for however long...jab khatam hona hoga, ho jaayega...

@bold: Exactly...a convo was needed to address many questions...a moment for Abhi to talk about his history with his father, or address the fact that he was so irritable with Meera yesterday...Meera maybe reproaching him playfully for it...so much could be done...instead, it was a quick hug and off on the bike😕...lol...then quick look at the sign and then off on the bike again😕😆...matlab hold on, man...it's ridiculous level of speeding.

LOL yes tomorrow also I expect them to stuff way too many things all in one epi...

Anyways, I'm just going to view the proposal as a standalone and see if the editors take some pity and not rush through that scene atleast.

LOL@ the kohlapurii chappal guy...hahaha totally random stuff, man...just didn't work.

Chalo good to know it wasn't just me on the hug...the editing/camerawork deffo let PJ-ND down there...they are capable of more...frankly even the first dream sequence wala hug was better than this.

Don't think they are going to give Meera any time to think...lol brace yourself for chat realization, pat byaah😆

I'm honestly resigned in some ways by this point...just state what I feel about the epi on a case by case basis and see if they will surprise me on a one off day😆
