Abhishek's fear of abandonment

The most strikingly heartbreaking moment of the epi today was the way Abhi hugged Ramraj in an almost desperate way muttering over and over again that he knows his chachu will never leave him...that one moment explained a lot about what drives Abhi...this deep fear of abandonment that has resulted from his father's desertion...he has his own coping mechanisms, has thrown himself into taking care of everyone...but it all essentially seems to stem from wanting to do everything he can so that they don't leave him...it's about about more than just keeping the family together. And it just makes it all so much more heartwrenching :(
The Abhi-Ramraj scene was again a study in the complexity of family dynamics...Ramraj has been the epitome of shamelessness since the show began and today he surprisingly gives Abhi support during one of his lowest moments...no matter what his motivations...but it showcases the surprising shades to human beings and relationships. And how heartbreaking is it that Abhi barely allows himself a moment to even cry his heart out :(

Nice to see a small FB of little Abhi crying in his mothers' lap...seems like they did take some feedback into account :P. The kid they picked to play Abhi...lol good resemblance to PJ.

The bday scenes were adorable...again, a different side of family dynamics...if there is khatta, there s tons of meetha too :). Rohan hanging onto Abhi like a little monkey behind him was adorable! Super warm scene!

👏 to the makers of the show. They've given us such wonderful interactions between the members of the family and not only just the leads of the show!!!
I've not seen any TV series giving importance to such (like you said) complex dynamics in any relationship!!! At least amongst the ones I've seen.
I know the Pant family Drama can be annoying sometimes but these kinda scenes can make up for anything.
Yes!!! Abhi fears being abandoned!!! That one sentence said it all. Why he does that extra bit for everyone. There was this Rohan- abhi scene few days back too where he talks about why Rohan shouldn't leave him like his father n the other cha-cha and also the bit after this father returns n rohan is upset, he says chinta mat kkaro mein tumhein nahi chodke jaaunga... emphasizing on this same fear.

Ironical that Meera asks him to hug his dad coz whatever he may have done, he loves Abhishek... And Abhishek of all people did come and hug Ramaraj.. He may have let Abhishek down on various occasions but he didn't run away.

Lol I'm traveling this week so on a different time zone. Try and watch the epi when I get a chance at odd hours of the day/night...lol for some reason there's a comforting quality about watching this show that I've started looking forward to.

Haha word about Abhi...apne bday pe bhi gifts for others...lol...only Meera might get such fundas...haha

Forgot to mention but the bit with Meera listening silently and crying as her parents scolded her on the phone was really sad too :(
