I had a question to anyone who's reading this by the way... From what I remember, the ad said that basically Abhishek is providing for all right? So is the eldest uncle no longer a lawyer? And what is the younger uncle doing? Kushti? Does that pay? It's a huge family... I mean nowadays, sometimes even with 2 working parents, a family of 4 has a hard time surviving. And these people...(Yes I'm looking into this way too much, but what to do :P) This is a valid question. I think what the promo was implying was that for all practical purposes, it is mainly Abhi's income from the homestay that runs the house...and as we can see, Abhi is mainly a one man army running the homestay for the most part.Ramraj's income as a lawyer is probably meager at best and I have no idea what the pehelwaan chacha does...seems to just sit around all day...even with the homestay income, it's kinda hard to believe they are being able to feed/provide for a family of 14...but i guess that's the premise we have to go with for now.It really hurts when Abhishek has to deal with such nonsense just because they are older and he has to be respectful. I guess this is a part of a normal family because I'm sure we all have had to, at one point or another, tolerate some people in our family because we have no other option. But I really do think these grey shades of the characters are seeming to be a little more over-powering than I'd like. I mean with a financial situation at hand, you'd think at least bade papa would be wise enough to deal with the circumstances in the proper manner. You have to pick your battles... can't just take them all on at the same time. Yes, yesterday was an especially low moment overall...like you said, the grey shades feel overwhelming then...unfortunately though, this is very much the reality...people cannot and will not change their basic stupid and insensitive behavior even in the face of mounting burdens or outright tragedies sometimes...such ppl very much exist.Let's see what they have in store for us though. I'd love to be proven wrong and that the uncles unite with Abhi to help pull the family through the coming obstacles. I don't think the uncles will unite so easily but Meera will probably help to get them in line in her own Meera way.Anywayyy, so I basically ended up writing a short story here itself 😆So I'll end it now 🤗
It was so good to have a solid episode today after the last couple of meh episodes.
THIS Abhishek is the original one...he got lost in translation...lol somehow but he seemed back today. PJ is definitely a significant saving grace for the show because as we saw on tuesday, when they don't give him and his character any substance, the entire episode sinks.
Rohan-Abhishek scenes are my most favorite scenes so far and whenever these two have had the opportunity to enact such scenes, both have done outstanding. PJ was no doubt amazing in this scene. That moment when he burrows his head in his shoulder upon Rohan's demand for a gift with Rohan lowering his head simultaneously was so touching. You can't help but feel for him. I had the same question watching Abhi play the harmonica for his brother and lighten up his face as such. How the heck does he manage to do that?! He seems to have immense patience, despite those little bursts of frustration that he lets out unknowingly. Ramraj and that other chacha irk me so so much! Both were super annoying today😡 .That scene, where Abhi unconsciously spills out to Ramraj about the allergy mishap and then instantly realizes what he just verbalized and tries to apologize, depicted Abhi's state of mind quite well...Good acting on PJ's end again. Even Amma was annoying today with her supporting her useless sons and reprimanding Abhi instead. I expected her to be more supportive of Abhi and more aware of what Abhi's dealing with so far. May be some version of folks like those chachas do exist in reality but if they did and I had to deal with such folks, I don't think I could ever pull an Abhishek...NEVER!
@Meera-- she was again in the mellow phase of her personality today. It was good that they followed up with the mom questioning her decision again. her mom still seems totally unconvinced of Meera's reason for accepting the proposal. I don't like her sister's general attitude...she's always so bossy to her..."you better do this, do that and blah blah blah."
Oh well, over all it was a good episode and all because of PJ's superb portrayal of overwhelmed with situation Abhishek. He's really shining through in these emotional, heavily nuanced moments.

Honestly I didn't think i was going to write anything about today's episode because it left me a little pained and disappointed. Not from the POV of being a crap episode but the behaviour of the chachas, the whole meera-aman crapfest and suprisingly daadi too today. Out of all the things, her silence irked me a little because I would've expected her to be a little more empathetic towards Abhi's situation with the labourers. But oh wells.
After re-watching the episode with a more of a peaceful mind, I noticed the strong contrast they portrayed in terms of chachas vs Abhi. We always knew them to be selfish asses and Abhi is practically the total opposite. So selfless. And you notice even in their arguments, the selfish behaviour lurks because they ranted about how Abhi wasn't paying them the respect that they deserve as his elder paternal uncles and here Abhi's argument was far far from anything personal. He was upset about the wall being incomplete, how their business is experiencing a rocky running and his stresses and worry of how this will all affect the family and the household running financially if they manage to loose the delegations. Forget about taking the responsibilities of the household, the chachas aren't even capable of carrying the burden of any other stresses except their own personal grudges with other people in this house.
I'm surprised with the scene of Meera's mum calling her tbh. Didn't expect that to happen. And well it was definitely better than all the other drama that happened in the episode.
I loved the your caps of Rohan and Abhi's scene AY. Sigh. So lovely. And indeed that scene was one to be remembered. Like you mentioned, those last ten seconds of the episode where Abhi's temporary smile just involuntarily turns into the worried frown stole the whole show. I don't know how the guy does it. So much pain and emotion and yet the flawless transition is what had me floored.
Rohan's and Abhi's relationship is what holds together the show at this stage. I feel Rohan is somewhere Abhi's dose of solace too. It's momentary and short, but Rohan's innocence and smile let's Abhi forget or at least just put aside his worries for a few minutes every day. It's also because the two sort of ride the same boat. Both so far from the materialistic wants and selfish needs of the human nature and you see that because just the musical wish by Abhi brings the biggest smile on Rohan's face.
Maybe that's why I need Meera to become a bit more aware of herself, her life and her surroundings before they show a love angle between Abhi and her. She has the charm but needs the understanding to be there for someone who needs the care and love which he hasn't been showered enough of. Someone who is just there for him.
