1. Patience

Priya saw in Ram these days a stillness she never noticed before. The ever impatient businessman Ram Kapoor, who never could find it in himself to let others complete a sentence, without interjecting it with his perception, of feeling slighted (imaginary or otherwise) he would always make known.

But with Pihu, he stood still. His eyes gleamed as he took a pause from his constant need to talk - to just listen. Pihu was allowed to discuss with her father the happiness food brings her. The contents of her pencil box - the reason for her chewed up pencil, the story behind the broken crayons or the pencil shavings she collected to make art - all fell on pair of attentive ears who waiting for the sweet sound of his child.

In her ramblings, he found respite from the world.

2. House haunts

Her leaving left an emptiness in him that nobody could ever never fill.

The cluster of 'bindis' on the upper corner of their mirror, the way her pillow smells, the permanent indentation her finger had left behind on the newly painted wall.

The dozen half-emptied shampoo bottles wonders. The lone ring on the bedside table craved for warmth once again. The AC set to temperature of her liking wondered if it ever will be changed.

Her favorite cup with the chipped handle or the charger with the sole purpose of charging her ancient ipod - all wondered of their mistress' existence.

The mansion in all its grandeur was made a home with her presence. With her gone, the house still remembers.

So did his heart.

Loved it! Sad how the show is going on but this gives a lot of comfort!
