Yes it's the Diwali night scene when he got high.. Diwali track is the most beautiful one in BALH2, Ram's dialogues during the night and Pri's monologues the next day when she walks to the temple carrying his file r just so well written. Especially the part where Ram n Pri both compare Ram to a lonely bridge and Pri has this monologue Meri berookhi ko apne nafrat samajh liya Mr Kapoor. Uff what beauty
About the route S2 has taken, I seriously would not have minded even the silly Ayesha track of PKDH, atleast no one hates the other . But BALH2 makers r made of different stuff. They just badly wanted to do role reversal. Priya's imagination before the hua ki nahi hua night indicated this leap.
They just wanted Ram to hate rain and Pri to love rain n ofcourse to make Ram wear that chain 🤔
Nothing can make Ram hate rain other than Priya's betrayal, at the same time they did not want to risk villanizing Ram by making him directly suspect Priya's loyalty, so they put that on Priya.
Actually plots were changed and all characters villanized to justify this forced leap and make Ram 2.0
In the beginning we were told MS did not intentionally kill VK, he thought he was supposed to hit an empty car, but then they turned him pure evil .
Then changed whole Sara and Chintu story , just to bring another Sood family member who is a criminal .
Then ruined MM (not that she was good anyway) by bringing in an alibi which we very well know is not possible plus made her such a horrible mother who would let her pregnant daughter be married to a criminal and give the custody of her grandson to such a man. Meera Mata ki jai ho 🤗
In short all this nasty drama to make Ram wear that chain. I hope Ram 2.0 ka voh chain kho jaye 🤣
Though the characters r unfortunately screwed up it makes more sense, it is more realistic. Not that the characters r relatable in leap.
In first season they showed Priya was assumed dead in an accident, and Ram still loved her. It turns out she wasnt dead, she was pregnant n living in Dubai. In second season they showed Priya lied to Ram that the baby isn’t his, and she went away to different places after she was released from jail.
Though the second season is unfortunately way more toxic in terms of pre-leap episodes , but some things like Priya serving her whole sentence in jail, Ram knows she is bailed n living somewhere else n struggling those were more real than Priya surviving an accident, not telling anyone and going away to Dubai , man Dubai out of nowhere.
But yeah makers could have avoided the cliched way in this show very easily of showing a seperation n leap at the first place, even if they wanted to they could have shown them just parting ways due to Shivina’s death, the cheating thing was not needed. Shivina’s death sequence itself was unecessary, however it was like this that one thing that could seperate them was if anything happened to Shivina as they got married at first place cause of her.
There were many better ways to show the leap, but I m kinda glad they didnt show memory loss/double role/fake death kinda track I roll my eyes when there are these track especially when they r terrible in showing mystery/suspense.
The characters could have been kept more organic like they did in start.
MS didnt know it was VK in the car thinking it was empty that was actually fine and he was like a grey more towards dark character at start, n though he was a sexist guy he did have some kind of emotions though very slim from wanting to attend his least liked daughter’s wedding to almost being her murderer with no regrets was 🤢 Good he ended up in jail.
Sara n that guy Varun they could have shown Varun n Sara having affair before marriage n Varun knows something about the accident, the fact his stepson live with him over his biological mom made no sense at all, unless Varun was a positive character. It would have been really interesting if they didnt show Varun evil but rather a grey character who is guilty for hiding the truth.If they desperately wanted a Sara-Vik story they could have shown Sara-Varun parting ways without the whole murder thing or Varun killed off.
I kinda liked MM-Ram scenes before Priya-Ram got married but after that it has been an overkill I couldnt connect to their bond very much after MM hid that prawn matter she did feel bad but it was still quite selfish of her to do so.
I have some unpopular opinion: I found Ram-Priya marriage episodes average only cause they focused more on the prawn kaand, I liked their pre and some post marriage episodes more(Pre-diwali and shopping which was the best, n the episode where Ram supported Priya) I feel the episode where Ram took a stand for Priya after knowing she hid MS truth was very underrated, it was realistic too, and Ram used his brain the best that time. I find the interview episodes overrated only the first interview was fine, too much interviews in this show.
I hated the way they changed Ram n Priya after leap but I m starting to like what they r showing lately, it is starting to be bit clear that they r like this cause of the incident, it affected both mentally. Ram and Priya both still have their OG traits, which wasnt clear at start of leap. Ram I knew would be back to his OG Ram, I had doubts for Priya I still have but last two episodes I seen glimpses. It was that Apnapan mahasangam that made me realize why Ram was like this, he was never RK 2.0 he was always OG Ram he just tried his best to be someone like RK 2.0 but he failed and easily surrendered. Priya’s one surprised me. She herself is disappointed in what she turned into it is slowly starting to be notice but she has traits of her mom again those melodramatic monologues, but two things I liked n saw glimpses of OG Priya was when she told Nandini that she has a limit of tolerating things and also that confrontation to Vedu. But her melodramatic monologues at times just spoils it.
Both of them r not in their original form, they just need something to bring their original self back and that is initiated by Pihu n to some extent Shubhu-Sandy. Makers could have shown the 2 weeks of Shivina death and 2 weeks of the leap in a much better way , it would have been completely different n more relatable.
