And also in the precap, Bri was being a genius 😛 Priya already mentioned that she was going to a place that she wanted to go to always. When she has said that explicitly, madam hazards it as a guess 😛

For me both are at fault. Ram trusted his family blindly and Priya her mom. In the early days of the marriage, I get y Ram could not fully trust Priya's family coz MM never barred MS from meddling in their lives. Raj tried to kill him or at least spoil his health, Priya went behind Ram's back getting Shivi married to Akki before sorting things out. It wasn't like Shivi was being married off to someone else. MS tried to kill Ram and he did take a stand for Priya. But then when he learns his father was murdered by Priya's family member - in real life if that happened, I don't think the couple in question would continue to be together or their equation would be the same. When MM hid the truth, she gave him another reason to doubt them. Did he ever get to know about his own family? They camouflaged their act very well before him and Nandu knew he was an emotional fool and she used it to her advantage. Ram knows Shubhu is selfish but he us yet to see the true face of Nandu. For him, she is a woman who accepted a motherless boy. This image needs to break. Makers have butchered Ram badly after Shivi's death and the track was so inconsistent. I blame the writers here.

honestly rams friends are only used for raya… on an individual level writers don’t give any importance to their characters

That’s why all side characters story line make no sense n are left incomplete

They will forgot Vicky sara being a couple when raya are back

This is one major fault in this show

Even if they don’t give too much screen space they need to develop the side characters a little more sensibily
rather than showing this nonsensical planning n plotting they can show a more meaningful story line if they correctly use all characters

Yes some of your points are correct. N his dads murder changed the entire story. But there are instances before that.

As someone mentioned in some post in many instances where he should have been there for her like during akki mu or during his bday track, he too easily misunderstood her

But Priya on the other hand she trusted him slowly but when she did she stood with him like a hard rock… never let her trust break at any instance..

Keeping his issues with Priya aside him not standing for Adi is the biggest black mark to his character

i completely agree that everything is writers fault… a more better writer would have done wonders to this story even if a little planning plotting was included for trps.

Yeah the supporting characters are under-utilised and I guess that’s y Aanchal aka Brinda left. And when they brought her back she was dumbed down so badly it was a disappointment even to her fans 😵 other than leads and main vamps makers don’t focus on character building for other characters. I will only cut them some slack where Ishaan is concerned.

Ram was never a strong minded individual unlike Priya. He was kinda fickle minded right from the start whereas Priya knew what she wanted. Priya had conviction which this guy lacked from day one. He is more like a kid and his maturity level is less than his 5 yr old daughter. But having said that makers ruined it further by adding in inconsistencies in storytelling and character building.

So true. I would never want Ram Kapoor of season 2 to be my husband ever. Priya literally needs to prove herself worthy of Ram every damn time. The humiliation Priya went through during Ram's birthday track, Ram keeping Vedika at his home inspite of knowing that he could have sent her somewhere using his sources but choses to disrespect Priya and him not believing Priya and leaving her stranded in the midst of nowhere during Akshay supposedly cheating on Shivi fiasco is a big red flag for me. For a moment he literally had a thought of Vedika being right on universe giving them the second chance because supposedly Priya won't reciprocate his love. Like how can you be so emotionally fragile to even think about that. He came to rescue Priya from jail only after knowing that his wife was pregnant. Like brooo, she literally risked her life to save yours, sent her own blood (although he was a douchebag) to jail without even thinking twice( and rightfully so) for you Ram. And what you did for her. You literally allowed your mother and brother yo manipulate you. You could have used your own brain (you are 38) into thinking the right and wrong. Ram Kapoor is someone who I would never ever be with. PERIOD.

100% agree with you on all of this . For Ram Priya was never family as you mentioned. And I think her choosing her child over Ram is justified. Had she not protected her unborn child I doubt Ram would have grown the spine to stand up for his real family. Ram had an idealized idea of family//love/ parenthood in his mind, he did not think practically. Was easily manipulated because he was a weak emotional person. I honestly think he was toxic from the very beginning.

Ram’s words and actions were always contradictory. Did you forget he came running back hearing Priya is pregnant, just for the child… When he knew the child was not his, he just left her. He always had different rules for his family and Priya. In short he never considered Priya as his family. She was just his caretaker who had to prove herself to him in every step of her life.

Ram wasn't always like this. During the Shivi-Akki marriage track, he took care of Priya when she fainted due to allergy, was mindful about her medicines (although there also, he was manipulated into believing that Priya had already eaten). Ram shouldn't have let MS out of jail, but he did so for Meera (Ram was shown to give some leeway to the people close to him. Like not sending a family member to jail*, pamper them with gifts etc.) After learning about Shikki marriage and Priya's lies, he broke the photoframe on trust that Priya had given him. Later, after he understood Priya, he repaired the frame himself and gave it her back. I feel, Ram was never without faults, but there was a sweet spot betwen his faults and his goodness. But now, CVs have ruined that aspect of Ram by making him inconsistent with their inconsistent writing and horrible tracks. I absolutely hated it whenever Priya had to prove herself multiple of times despite caring the most for Ram. She was the only one who could uncover and show him his step-mom's horrible truth.

*this is again a separate point of discussion. Pre leap Ram used to say he didn't have the strength to send his family members to jail for their wrongdoings like Priya had. Post leap Ram also bailed out Shubhu lots of times. But when Shivi died and Priya was sent to jail, it was family vs family from Ram's pov and even a strong warrior like Arjun needed a Krishna to guide him to make the right choice when he was in family vs family situation, but Ram had no one to open his eyes.

Btw, I caught up with the epis yesterday. I would say, Shubhu has become smart 🤣 (even with his 5 >>> 95 math skills) He knows his mom didn't hesitate to use his daughter even at the cost of losing her. She won't hesitate to send Shubhu behind the bars if that will be the only way to get the properties from Ram. Shubhu, apni gardan khud hi bachane chala aaya 🤣

(That also made me wonder if Sandy is manipulating Shubhu to reunite RaYa 😅)
