I do feel very very sad that Ram’s character was giving everything to his stepmom…how can Ram’s character be so insensitive and uncaring to not protect his wife (and all the kids he is planing without any financial support) and how can Ram’s character be so stupid to think Nandini would be fair with the wealth…

Simple explanation, priya said after her everything she has monetary or family wise she only trusts ram to take care of it. She could have choosen Meera or sara but she didn't. Which made ram realise that after him it's only priya he could trust who would be the perfect person to handle his handle and business in the most responsible way and if that would not put his siblings future at risk also.

As after vk ram had to let go of his life, after him shubham and shivi would have to do that but if Priya takes the responsibility then shubham and shivina wouldn't have to sacrifice their life for business.
