No i meant that Ram grew up with a grandparent around and that's also a reason why nandini couldn't be an actual step mother to ram. There was someone protecting him.

VK adopted ram as a baby, so most probably either ram didn't know about VK being adopted father or he got to know later on.

See i think that shashi dialogue about 2 saal hai is related to this.

In two years, eshan will be fifteen and since ram and eshan are parallel, so my theory is when Ram was 15 he got to know about VK being is adopted parent as around the same time shivi would have been born.

So possibly ram heard vk and nandini discussing ram not being vk's son. Hence he doesn't feel any haq over their love as he knows he is not their blood.

One more thing, I don’t think Varun was directly involved in VK’s accident, I think the comment about him killing VK is not true, hence someone else is dreaming it.
