Well, i think Ram had an grandparent involved who died when Ram was a teenager. Remember eshan's dadi died recently.
I think that's where ram got his values, maybe she/he never knew that VK was involved in the murder of his own sister?? But always told ram to listen and follow VK and that's why Ram turned out like this. This could be the family values thing.
And i think as Nandini once mentioned Ram's philosophy of life that everyone is good. He is a big time reader, a know it all in all textual context. Since he is a book smart person and not a streat smart makes sense why he trusts people easily. He has a very linear way of looking at things since books only give a one way view and it's always open interpretation.
Loved it!
The only issue is that if VK took him as a teenager then Ram would know that VK is not his father. So, we can discard that. Rest, let me think at your angle.

Shaabash 👏👏👏
I hope you're feeling better.
Ram is good at understanding the psyche. He chooses to ignore every negative thoughts about people. He knows that people are not positive always and so he bypasses those feelings. That doesn't mean he can't read people. He can.
With Pri, like he mentioned for the first time, he is being selfish because he is choosing his happiness over everything. He was trained to think "family first" where as with Pri in his life, the cloud over his thoughts are being lifted, bit by bit. She is allowing him to be a child giving him not only wifey affection but also motherly care and concern. Fulfilling all his wishes which he had buried under.
I have always emphasized "Stockholm syndrome" that Ram has towards his family and Vedika. He is being rescued now by Pri. She is teaching him to be angry, to be selfish, to love oneself, to want, to have desire, to be mad, to grudge.
Exactly! Also, ram was actually portraying himself as lord rama in the places where family was concerned.
He let go of all things that will make him feel guilty of not being there for the people he loves.
But priya is like a second chance for him a rebirth of some sort where he is meeting his desires again and wants to act on them for his happiness.
And what doodle said what Stockholm syndrome, is absolutely correct. That is how he feels towards nandini. He think she sympathises with him so he feels love for her, sympathesis with her. She has maintained a persona of a victim with him. Which is starting to clear with the presence of Priya and soods. They are like his own team of therapists😆
I've received my book. Have you started reading it? Let's chit-chat

How did you even believe him the first day? He didn't even flinch when Eshaan was missing. That was a giveaway to us all. Since Doc wrote that day about Varun as narcissistic father, I didn't repeat it.
