Kakbhishundi was a safe who was incarnated as a crow in his final incarnation by sage Lomas. And as a devotee of lord rama he decided to remain like that.

he is one of the Chiranjivis, an immortal living being in Hinduism who are to remain alive on Earth until the end of the current Kali Yuga.

As per the texts, one of the important quality of Kakbhushundi is that he has been gifted to stand outside of time, meaning as where the nature's cycle repeats itself, so he was able to see Ramayana played out eleven times & Mahabharata sixteen times with different results.

I have one theory and I may be completely off tangent….and that is largely based on the first media interview of Ram and Prius where ram mentions something about memory loss and that he will always remember the sold house because it gives him the that gaat wali feeling.

This either means we are approaching Rams memory loss, where he forgets Priya or he had his memory loss earlier and he will regain that childhood memory again. In both the cases he is unfortunately going to forget Priya and possibly fall in love with her again if they want the story to continue.

I also feel that the life Ram is living currently may be some thing make believe (like the Truman show). He is conditioned to believe so.

Also, what kind of a parent keeps the kid away from the other parent and has made him develop such a complex… I am telling ya… this guy is a manipulative parent… they seem sweet on surface… but fulfill personal agendas through the innocence of kids…

And another point is he didnt seem that scared or panicked when the child was not seen. Even initially when he entered the house the child was missing. His statement was he would be with head phones so he didnt hear them. This shows he is used to this pattern of behaviour. I guess his mother was taking care of Ishaan and now that she is no more , he has to take the responsibility. This guy looks like a lazy man who doesnt want to take the responsibility of home or family.

That could be another reason for him to come down to Mumbai. For him I feel Sara and Ishaan is more of a means to survive financially.

Yes, there is a mention of a crow called kakabhushandi who overhears the narration of the ramayan and then narrates what he remembers of it to Sage Narad who further narrates it to Valmiki. If he is a chiranjeevi, I donot know. He is not one of the 7/8 chiranjeevi popular in common thought.

There is another mention of a crow. Once a crow (jayanta, son of Indra dev) pecked at Sita while Ram was asleep. Ram sensed her pain, woke up and pierced an eye of the crow and sent it back to the sky (hence, the folklore why it uses only one eye at a time).

Crow is also associated with Yama, god of death. Funeral offerings are made to the crow, to help the dead to leave the land of the living.
