First of all, no hate for the actors. #PrachandPrem for them. Please don't spread negativity in my thread, this is a love letter to Ram and his friends and not a place to start a hate thread (else forum DT will throw me out).

What Did She See In Him?
Ram punched Vikrant lightly on his shoulder and signed at the unopened beer bottle.
"Woah, slow down there. Will your missus allow you to drink more than two bottles?"
Ram scowled at him and stretched across the table to get the bottle, opened it, and dranks a few sips, looking Vikrant in his eyes, daring him to say anything, but the man just smirked at him.
"Wait till I tell Priya." Vikrant laughed, and Ram pushed him off his chair, making the others laugh.
After months, the friends had found time to have a small get-together. They had seized the opportunity and drove to Vikrant's farmhouse in Panchgani.
"What do you think she saw in him?" Ram asked, now looking up at the night sky.
Brinda, who had Aditya's arms wrapped around her, looked at him curiously.
"Who?"
"Her ex," Kunal answered.
"Oof! Don't say that name! You ruined the evening, man!" Brinda whined, and Aditya patted his wife's hand. Though she was being dramatic, he had to agree, even he felt like puking just at the man's mention.
"No, seriously! He looks like someone tried to make a copy of me but failed miserably, "
"You are such a humble man, Ram, " Vikrant remarked and Kunal guffawed.
"Priya is right. You are in love with Neeraj! You can't shut up about him! " Brinda said and threw a pillow at him.
"Guys, come on. I want to know. If that idiot can impress Priya, why do I fail? Everything I do has to end up in a mess."
"Have you considered talking to her before doing anything?"
"Hey, that kachori was Sandy's idea. How is it my fault that she doesn't know what happened in her own house?" Ram defended himself lamely. But the raised eyebrows his friends threw at him were enough to shut him up.
"Come on, Ram! People change. Maybe Priya felt that Neeraj was the one then, and now, she got her senses back." Kunal shrugged.
"If that's the case, why didn't she like you? You are probably the sweetest guy to exist, man, and all your exes can confirm that." Ram said and looked at his youngest friend, who blushed at the mention of his crush on Priya.
"Ram, Priya is... Complicated. Plus, we were forcing Kunal on her. And yes, you were forced on her, too, but till then, even she had given up fighting Akshay and Shivina. That said, I am not saying that she will never love you." Brinda said and sat straight.
"Ram, you said it to her, yourself. She comes from a home where she hasn't seen romantic love between people. Sara and her husband broke up, and let's not talk even about Priya's sperm giver."
Vikrant raised his eyebrow at the last phrase.
"I refuse to call him their father! Anyway, she never saw love, and when Neeraj must have asked her, she must have seen a chance at normalcy, at normal relationships. It's just her bad luck that Neeraj turned out this stupid! But that made Priya stronger and pickier. And that's why she chose you. She chose you not for herself but for her family. We have seen Neeraj with her family, and we can conclude that if he gets the chance then he will drink their blood.
Now, it's time she feels that she has chosen you for herself. You said that you want to wait for her, and I am proud of you for doing that. You are letting her heal, but you also need to understand what she is healing from. I am not saying you should correct every wrong that Neeraj or that man did with her, that is not your place, but yeah, you have to find your place in her life, and to do that, you have to stop asking what she saw in him.
Everyone makes mistakes, wrong choices, and the best thing we can do for people we love is accepting those choices and try to navigate a way to work through those choices," Brinda said and took a final seep of beer. She looked at her friends staring at her, their eyes wide.
"Brinda Maate, tussi great ho!" Vikrant said and joined in his hand, and everyone followed suit. Brinda laughed and raised her hand as if to bless them.
Ram looked at Brinda and sighed. What would he do without her! She was right. Priya didn't need Mr. Right. She just needed a mister, and Ram would become her mister.
